I have a ‘15 base double cab with factory entune sat radio. It was a good radio but I wanted CarPlay so I changed to Sony and now I can’t get radio stations for crap. My truck had the shark fin and a fender mount antenna. My questions are. Factory radio got excellent radio signal and HD. Does the shark fin do both fm and satellite together? Was the fender ant an aftermarket? Which of the square antenna plugs is fm the white or the gray. I have used both to no avail. I haven’t tore apart the dash looking for a real coax hopefully coming from that fender antenna

My understanding is that the shark fin incorporated the am/FM antenna. I might he wrong though. I wish that was the case for the 2nd gen's as I have snapped off 2 antennas while offroading.

Is there a separate antenna for FM? I upgraded my Entune radio to Premium and i belove I connected all the cables. I use to get HD FM on my old unit but now it won’t even find stations on seek. I have to manually tune a station, but no HD. Can you help? Thanks.

I'm not sure what year they incorporated the antenna into the shark fin. I know 2012 is not the year for sure. My head unit is the dot matrix style and not touch screen nor is it HD capable either.

Unfortunately I do not know anything about HD radio.

I found 3 different antenna cables I had the HD entune radio and I upgraded to a sony, the regular radio ant is a bigger connector the two smaller square ones are going to the shark fin, I think. the big connector does go to the long metal antenna on the fender.
