Do I have to LEDs or is Toyota just teasing me....

The first image is from Toyotas website with my VIN searched. It shows option code LF...LED Daytime running lights and fog lights. My window sticker in the pictures below do not mention the LEDs. Final picture is the front of my truck...I didn't think I had turned the lights on when I took the picture. It was still evening...this pic was taken to show the new tires.

So...Based on the pictures do I have LEDs or can't tell?

 

LED headlights? No.

 

You have LED DRLs and, separately, Fog lights. The fogs are halogen. Before 2020, there are no LED fogs for the non-Pros. 2020s with LED headlights also get LED fogs.

 

Yep, this. That LED bar that runs under the projector and up the side of the headlight is your DRL and the only LED component.

 

You don't have the LED headlight/fogs upgrade. But your 2020 DCSB 4X4 Sport is pretty freaken' cool anyways! Enjoy!

Thanks! That makes sense. I just thought it was weird that it wasn't included on the window sticker. Kinda odd how they worded it as an option too. Anyone have that option listed on the window sticker?

I am sitting with the same reality, and a similar truck lol. Cement DCSB Lots of conversion packages out there tho

 

LED headlights are a separate package, and you also get LED fog lights. So a non pro truck can have LED fogs.

Every time I see another 3rd gen, they almost never have the LED package.

I find it very misleading to say "LED daytime running lights and fog lights" and give people halogen fogs. Maybe it's tidy legally but that seems deceptive in spirit at least.

 

Yes, all TRD Sports would have LED DRL's as standard.

Limited and Pro come with LED headlight package as standard and its optional on the TRD Sport and Off-road. Guess that explains why you dont see many trucks with them.

I didn't have a problem with on mine? There are a lot of asterisks and footnotes for the Taco and any other vehicle.

 

No doubt, asterisks and footnotes are reasonable and required on such a complex product. Ultimately it is up to the buyer to do their due diligence in understanding exactly what they are buying.

I just don't like the way this is worded. If I say "I'm blessed with a healthy son and daughter", I don't just mean my son is healthy. All they'd have to do to make it more clear is change the order and say "Fog lights and LED daytime running lights".

I have LED headlights and fogs myself, I'm just empathizing here.

 

Research and understanding is key.


I did LED retrofits in the stock housings also with the yellow Lamin-x protectors. They work very well in fog.

For the headlights, just doing the H9 mod made a big enough difference that I am not thinking about anything further there.

 

I'm going to look into doing that upgrade right away too...

If u read it it states daytime running lights led and fog lights . So yes u have those . Not the headlights .
