That's great to hear man. These little trucks can sure do some hauling. I was watching youtube videos on people towing their trailer across the county with their tacos.

So I just got a 2005 f250 6.0 turbo diesel. I was looking for a 7.3 because of better reviews but found a 6.0 for pretty cheap.

I just towed about 4,000lbs of broken up concrete yesterday and it blew my Tacoma out of that water. It didn’t even feel like I was towing anything.

i still love my taco for daily driving and off-road, but now I won’t be beating it up towing lol.

    Just curious.

Do you know what the total weight of the concrete + trailer?

That’s total weight of both. Not a lot I know but it’s the most I’ve pulled since I got the truck a few days ago. I’ll keep comparing with heavier loads.

Thanks! Guy wanted 9,000 but I found some issues with it and got it for 8,000.

around here the 6.0s are going for 10,000+ and the 7.3s are going for way more.

Good luck with that truck. Those are nice rigs.

It should be no surprise that the F250 turbo diesel would out haul a Tacoma. A fairer comparison probably would’ve been a gasoline F150. Just saying.

I used to tow for an Auto service center and drove a gasoline F250 that had the boom in the back tow truck. So yeah I understand the F250 is a little bit more truck.

I always wished the Tacoma came with a diesel option.

You’re completely right I’ve just never owned a diesel and didn’t know what to expect.
I’ve got an OBD scanner and I’m keeping an eye on the ect/eot because I guess they’re known for clogged oil coolers and egr coolers.

pulls like a beast but unloaded it rides super stiff.

a diesel taco would be awesome.

Haha. Sweet. As long as it had working AC ... it’s all good. :)
