Question, can I use the leads from my fog lights to wire in new lights on my steel bumper? Just T Tap or splice back a bit to preserve the connections? Then I can have a set on the current switch? Thanks

I don’t see why not, unless they pull more than 15A. (13A to keep it safe)
Green wire should be power, White and Black should be ground.

FWIW, I don’t recommend T-tap. Unless they are the “weather proof” ones.
    And even then, I’m weary.

T taps and scotch locks are for lazy people. Solder and heat shrink. Chop the factory connectors off and go for it. As mentioned, be mindful of current draw.

Also, some fog lights come with a matching connector to the factory wiring for plug and play. Some have reported that the wires in the connector were backwards and they had to swap them.

Cool yeah I have both solder and heat shrink and have zero T Taps lol so the verdict is in. Only wire one set though right? Don’t get crazy and wire like 6 lights and a light bar to one switch :rofl:I know the answer to that btw lol

You can wire as many lights as you want as long as you’re mindful of the total current draw.

Should I be thinking about watts or amps on current draw?

I have two connection adapters you can have if you want. They came with my LED pods to go from the factory plug to the LED's. Says they work with most standard LED's. Also if it's factory wiring remember they wont work when your brights are on.

You can use either number to start with by using a little math. Amps X volts = watts. So, watts ÷ volts = amps. So, if a light is advertised as 3 amps and you want to run 10 of them, that’s 30 amps. If the light is advertised as 100 watts, 100 watts ÷ 12 volts = 8 amps. If you want to run 10 of those, you’re looking at 80 amps. You want the fuse and wire rating to be about 30% more than the current draw. So if a factory circuit has a 10A fuse, you shouldn’t be putting more than about 7 amps of total load on the circuit.

Be aware that if you are doing the same for running lights - particularity if you are running an ARB setup - you will likely overdraw the control relay resulting in random operation. Easily resolved by replacing the ~25W ARB lights (which seem way too bright anyway) with sub 10W replacements.
