First DIY oil change I’ve done on this truck, it would be so much easier with a normal filter but overall it’s not bad. Took the opportunity to change to a metal filter housing, which is the only reason I did it myself as I have a local shop that does oil changes for $40.

Question, I’m thinking about getting fog lights installed on my tacoma. How much would the dealership cost me?

any cool decals I can throw on my tacoma it’s not a sr5 or 4x4 and I don’t want to label something it’s not. I wouldn’t mind getting a SR TRD 4x2 decal or something lol

Fog light generic kit with switch in dash is about 50 bucks plus whatever labor your dealership charges per hour. Probably nick ya for a couple hours. If you go o.e.m. on the steering column, parts would be more for sure don't know about labor time. I did mine myself for the 50 $ part cost with switch on left side of dash, if you want that style and don't want to do the labor yourself probably and auto electric shop would be less expensive than the dealer. As far as all that TRD sticker stuff goes, it just seems like marketing to me to help sell trucks, but that's coming from someone who peeled the SX stickers off his truck and tossed em fwiw, so do what you like to make your truck your own.

I would think "SR Pre Runner" would be a bit cleaner and more honest. Before the 5 lug died, these trucks wouldve been Pre Runners anyways.

SX gang: Anyone keep track of the differences between the 2019 (first year this package came out, I believe), 2020, and 2021? I know they added a bedside decal starting 2020. Was there anything else? Were there differences in the SR between these years?

SX package is the same I believe but the truck isn't. The 2020 SR comes standard with intermittent wipers, radar cruise, lane assist, brake warning, improved bed lights, Apple car play, Android auto and maybe a few more minor things as standard now.

I would like to see AG as an option, and black bezel SR headlights added.

'20's got the updated Head Unit and Intermittent Wipers as well as the new grille. Might've been one or two other things (specific to the SR) but I can't remember.

I had a 2019 SX and now have the 2020. In 2019 there was a convenience pkg also which included the keyless entry, also intermittent wipers were not included. In 2020 the convenience pkg seems to be included and the intermittent wipers are std as well.

    Thanks for the info, guys!

With Quicksand going away on the SX in 2021, I wish they had added another color like Cement. AG would be cool but I know would be stretch since it just came out last year.

Haven't posted to this thread in a while. Here's how my truck sits fairly recently. Only thing that has changed since this picture are the fogs -- I upgraded to Diode Dynamics Ambers. Got the rear air locker working and 4.88's so figured I'd post in case anyone is looking to do the same and has questions. If you're going to re-gear I'd recommend doing the locker at the same time. Saved a bunch of money. Took a while to get the locker actually functioning because the shop I went to didn't install the seal correctly.

6! Promised myself I’d never buy another 4-banger.

    I paid $1600 for my re-gear.

Your truck looks like mine :p I have a Leer 100xq. Different enough that we won't have to fight it out Highlander style at least :duel:. But if yours was in the same parking lot, I could absolutely see myself walking toward it before realizing it isn't mine. I'm glad to the Pro tail lights on a Black SR though. I just bought a set, and was assuming I'd like them, and I was right. I do.

    Also, welcome!
