3rd Gen the worst Gen?

And it wont go into limp mode along with CEL after about 7-8 months of using it. I know someone personally and there are a lot of reviews online like that. Also quite a few TW members had the same issue. I considered it but then after researching i said fuck it.

So, you're at a standstill, trailer hooked up, you press the peddle and wait how long to get to 2800 rpm? The RPM's where the torque starts to happen.

 

This I can answer. Very quickly. In fact quick enough that if I'm not paying enough attention I'm past 3500rpm. This is with a 2800# trailer.

 

have you looked at the 2020 and 2021 titans? they are not ugly. as far as being a battleship, you got me there but it's no bigger than the 3rd gen taco limo double cab with 6 ft bed.

there is so much more room in the cab as it is a full size truck.

As far as i knew any throttle body spacer with this type of fuel injection other than throttle body injection is worthless due to no together fuel and air mixing, like a throttle body unit would. On the other hand heard some of these spacers can emit a sound similar to a supercharger as air pass's through it.

 

No change in sound. I have read the same thing. The one change felt with the spacer isn't quicker throttle response but a smoother, like not as much effort going into the throttle. Hard to explain. Feels like "Cadillac horsepower". Smooth.

 

I've none of these issues with a new 2020 I4. None... Zero.
Smooth as silk. Even with my crappy 2.7 I4, I had no problem blowing by the logging truck this morning, coming home from The Big City...
Trans works fine .. No weird vibrations at any speed ... Even my crappy I4 had the torque and speed to blast past the lumbering 18-wheeler.
