I like reading about people that actually use their trucks. Makes me feel better about the day I finally pull the trigger and replace my 22 year Tacoma with a new one.

If you are a member of a Credit Union see if they have an Auto Buying Service. You give them what you are looking for and they do the leg work of finding it, might even bring it to you for a test drive.

It was much more difficult in my area to get a manual transmission.

Update. In what seems like a totally random 90 degree turn in another direction I found a 2019 Silverado “double cab” Z71 that was heavily discounted due to not selling for lack of having a full crew cab. We got around 10K shaved off the sticker price and it priced out around a Tacoma TRD. When my wife said “damn I like this” it was kind of a done deal. I still like Tacoma’s and appreciate everybody’s replies all the same. Everybody stay healthy and safe!

    Glad you found your truck.

By the time I found a MT AC OR I think I would have bought anything else if someone offered me a deal. The frustration was something else.

I see OP ended up with a different truck but I just got my 18’ access cab Trd OR 4x4 used About a week ago after searching for about 2 months. The access cabs are definitely a lot harder to find but definitely worth the wait. Mine has 8500 miles on it and I love it so far.

If you're looking for a Sport AC then maybe just look at an SR or SR5 AC. They're much easier to find and the features are easily added. I think I added a rear air locker, new gears, and most of the convenience features on my SR and am still under the Sport sticker price.

All i can say when i was looking for an sr5 access cab, they few and far between to be found here, let alone with the factory options, and color i was long for.

Pretty sure all Tacomas are Currently assembled at the Baja plant while the San Antonio plant is reconfigured for the forthcoming TGNA-F platform.

Previously, 3rd gen access cabs were produced in Texas only.

Totally possible that I’m talking out my ass.

Love seeing all these access cabs. Here’s mine after trading my 4Runner a couple weeks ago. I previously had a 2002 and 2017 double cab.

I must have gotten really lucky, I found my OR AC LB (minus tech package) on a dealer lot. It had been there for 4 months.

    2021 Cement Off-Road Access Cab
I'm in northern Utah and was able to get a 2021 Cement Access Cab with what I wanted in a week. The dealer I went to didn't really have any Tacomas on the lot that weren't already spoken for. Luckily one was inbound to another nearby dealer which they sent over for me. I ended up paying for a chrome exhaust tip and carper floor mats which I didn't really want, but it was better than potentially waiting months.
