The apocalypse has made it crazy to get filament, but I got some in this week, have one more print to finish then I'll print another console, and as long as the quality of that one is where I want it I should start taking orders next week hopefully.

Would love a Manual version. I know it’s less in demand, but if time ever allowed that would be killer.

I've had a few requests already. It will most likely be the next one I design.

    Tagging this.

Would love one with no coin holders or switches, single cupholder, radio charging bay where the switches are (so the radio is facing the driver) and a wireless charger (if it all fits).
Bonus: A pocket for the wireless controller for my winch.

i just mocked everything up. Unless you shrunk the shifter surround (not the gate, just the raised part), a current Iphone laying down would be too big.

Also, just noticed you are in San Diego. If you are in North County and need a manual Tacoma console to model, I have one.

The one in gray filament looks really clean, did you do much post processing on that? If not your printer and slicing software settings are on point. That print job looks like it might require a ton of supports, is it a pain to clean up afterwards?

No room to shrink it, it's a very tight fit. If you were determined to lay it down I could angle it towards the driver. My original plan was a pocket to insert the phone into, like the old tape decks.

I'm in East county, but I'll keep you in mind when the time comes.

A ton of supports. Slicing software only goes so far though. Large contoured overhangs in abs and asa have a tendency to detach no matter how good your slicer or printer are. I modeled a scaffold system to hold all the edges down that get cut off after printing. It's not too much of a pain, but still requires a bit of work to remove, but it has made it a much more reliable part to print.

Ah your printing it in ABS too? You are a brave one! haha, I stick mainly to PETG if I want anything with more strength than PLA, it doesn't help my hot end is only rated for 250c. Nice work though. Used Fusion 360 to design?

Nope, using ASA. Some brands of PETG will still get soft enough to warp in a car, and I've seen some fade in under a month. ABS handles the heat, but even it fades under the unyielding assault from the Sun. I've had a test piece I printed in ASA sitting out in my driveway since June that has shown no signs of fading. My phone dock has been in my truck for years, but it has yellowed and when you see a part that has been shaded you can see the difference clearly.

I commend you being able to print those materials, I have a hard enough time getting PLA and PETG prints to come out well. I'd be more inclined to try more exotic materials if I had the patience to get a nice profile set up for them in Cura. I'll be honest I've never heard of ASA before you mentioned it. After looking it up, it seems perfect for these applications.

To be fair I had a lot of trouble printing these materials too, until I designed my own printer... It becomes a lot easier when you're not trying to troubleshoot the print and printer.

Ive been fighting even simple prints with PLA and PETG recently, and I just a few days ago decided to give ABS a shot since I picked up a couple spools with the intention of moving to ABS once I could get consistent results. So far I've only been printing thin objects but my printer is completing each print and no signs of warping or cracking even though I'm not using an enclosure.
