I hauled 2.14 tons of dirt in the bed today.

    I was shocked when I saw the scales. 8120lbs in, 3840lbs out. So the load was 4,280 lbs. It was packed to the gills with dirt. I'd guess 15 loads from the wheel barrow or maybe a yard and half of rocky dirt...

    I was already thoroughly scolded by the gentleman at the landfill for overloading my truck, so that's not necessary :cool:

    Great little work truck. She'll be turning 200,000 miles next week probably! Maybe I'll fill her up with Premium for the occasion.

    Not scolding, +1 on watching your rear axle. That kind of load will 'brinell' the rear bearing by pressing the balls literally into the race when you stop moving. Be on the lookout for noises or grinding and then get it fixed before it fails.

    Worst case being some Creeper Cop pulls you over puts you on the portables starts writing tickets
