Any recommendations for 17" wheels with good backspacing? Most of the SCS wheels are out of stock, and it seems like they are in high demand so I'll probably miss out when they do come back in stock.

After reading through all 53 pages, I’ll be getting 315/75/16s in about a week. Still trying to decide on the damn tire though... Cooper ST Maxx or the AT3 XLT

Put on 315/75/16 KM3s with 16x8 4” BS SCS Ray 10s yesterday. Thanks to this thread it made me confident I could make them fit. Cab mount relocation, hammered pinch weld, and some plastic trimming later and they hardly rub.

Obviously rub the top when fully stuffed since I kept my liners, and they do just barely rub my UCAs at full lock when I’m in reverse. I suspect the UCA rub will go away as the tires wear, and I don’t think they’d rub at all if I had tubular UCAs instead of my boxed ones. Other than that they fit great and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again!

Man I know the full racks aren’t popular but they’re utility is so good. And I think they look great.

The rear fitment couldn’t be more perfect flexed at full stuff. Didn’t rub a bit. Now it could rub when both rear tires are fully compressed, but time will tell on that. Need to find some sweet jumps :bikewhoops:

All the above, I live here in Washington so quite a bit of rain. I occasionally DD my truck since I have another car. I know the AT3 is more pavement friendly and not as off road capable. But it’s quite a bit cheaper

Yeah I see your dilemma. In the end some people like the piece of mind of maximum traction in dirt and mud and don't mind the cost and decreased tire life and noise.

Yeah that’s where I’m stuck. The price isn’t so much of an issue for me. I definitely drive it more on road right now. Also, the maxx is about 6 pounds heavier, which isn’t the worst. But much better traction off-road

That was exactly why I went with mud terrains. I’d rather deal with the extra noise and less tire mileage instead of being on a hard trail without enough traction and kicking myself for not choosing a more aggressive tire. But, I also have a car for my daily driver. If my truck was my daily driver I would have considered all terrains.

Thanks! I did it at first while I was on stock tires in preparation for 35’s and it looked kind of dumb. Now that the new tires fill out the wheel wells I kind of like it as well.
