Yep, Cold air intake. More for the noise and cool look. I have a friend who owns a Toyota dealership and picked up my exhaust and CAI for $750. I put it on my lift and 30 minutes later I was done. It can be done on the ground as well. To me its the best sounding exhaust and no issues at all.

It would probably be better to go to a dealership and find a TRD Pro to compare the sound too. Although keep in mind the Pro will likely have a cold air intake too.

But basically the YouTube videos don't really do it justice because every microphone has its limits and every speaker does as well. It'll never sound quite the same as in person.

This 100% every video I watch on the TRD exhaust I'm thinking to myself... uhhh that does not sound like my truck when I start it up. It sounds much deeper in person. I really love people trying to show what drone sounds like from the cabin, like your shitty 50.00 mic is not gonna pick up any drone if we can barely even hear you talking over the radio my dude.

Keep in mind the long bed sounds deeper than the short bed pro exhaust. Mine sounds deeper than my friends Pro. It's crazy what a foot longer piping will do.

That's interesting. I always thought the shorter ones were the louder/deeper ones since the loudest I've seen are those turn down exhausts that pretty much end right before the axle. It may just be the type of muffler I suppose too.

I think more raspy in my opinion. The shorter may be a tat louder but maybe not a deep.

I scuffed the chrome with a Scotch Brite pad and cleaned. I used Eastwood 2K spray epoxy. Awesome product. I was going to satin clear coat but haven't yet. It's been holding great for about 5 months now.
