My Tacoma is a 04A61 A/T. I have done way more with vF Tuner than I have posted. I am vF Tuner'd Out. Got to take a break from it. All of the changes that I have made and my Tacoma still won't take off at Full Throttle (>80° Throttle Blade Angle) in 1st Gear or any thing remotely close to Full Throttle in 1st Gear. My Tacoma takes off so lazy, it's pathetic. I will likely play with vF Tuner again when Mat @OVTune releases 2.0 Final Performance/Gearlock. If this final tune release does not allow Full Throttle take offs in 1st Gear, I will be seriously bummed out.

For those of you still enjoying playing with vF Tuner, more power to you. If anyone figures out how to get these A/T's to take off from a stop at Full Throttle, please PM me.

I was tuning a 2018 truck that belongs to a guy in Texas and we had the same problem. His truck felt like it was starting in 2nd gear no matter what tune I flashed. I tried custom tunes and even old performance betas. It ended up being his fuel pump. I knew it was something else and NOT the tune.
I feel like if your truck won’t take off after loading one of those aggressive tip in tunes, something else is wrong.
His was also a 2wd TRD Sport.

My truck definitely responds to aggressive tip in tunes, but it does not affect my my Full Throttle Pedal take offs. There is nothing wrong with my fuel pump. The throttle blades just wont open all of the way in 1st Gear.

Line 1 = Accelerator Pedal (pedal to the floor, 1st gear take off @ 3 seconds)
Line 2 = Throttle Blade Angle (4 seconds to 7 second goes from about 50% to 70%)
    Line 3 = Engine RPM
    Line 4 = Vehicle Speed

Above my pay grade! It’s definitely not doing what it’s supposed to with the changes you made to the tune. I hope Mat or someone can help get you fixed. Good luck brother!

Any of you experience anything negative with @Mooseditty17 tunes? I’m going on a long drive today with family and was going to test out the tune he made that had been altered to 4.88’s with 33’s and tow.

Nope. I've been using his 9.29 perf as a foundation. It's been great. I think it was a bigger leap forward than the OV tunes in driveability. You can actually talk to the transmission with the throttle pedal, like every other car ever.

I ask often for feedback. Only issue I've hear of or found myself, was hard upshift from 3rd to fourth at 101 mph. If the tune you chose has a maximum speed of 103.xxx for a 3-4 primary upshift, or less, you will not experience that issue. Please let me know if you like it, which one you are running, and what you feel could be better. Give it 100 miles before reporting. Thanks!

Edit: When the hard shift was experienced, the top speed set on the 3-4 upshift map was 113.xxx.

I use the 2LM daily but have not had a chance to try out 4Lo in the dirt.

I do know that 4Hi felt different when using it with the 2LM. So, I think there is something to be had without the limits and without having to dip that far in.

In the end, sketchier 4wd drive lines in the past when hooked to V8s were not torque limited. With @OVTune running around in perma-4Hi with TTs, I have no real worries.

What do you use the 2 low mod for so frequently? I only picture a very small handful of scenarios where that would be handy...

Because the reverse gear in the MT is ridiculous.

When was this update? 1.2.5.1 like a month ago? Or was there another update?
