I had these on my F150 that I just got rid of. I really liked them. I'm a little nervous about putting them on my Tacoma though due to the weight of the tires and the lighter weight of the Tacoma rolling on E loads.

Yeah I should’ve known better. Had KO2s in the past with great success but wanted to try the duratracs. After 4 unsuccessful balance attempts by 3 different America’s tire shops in 3 short months of ownership. I told them to take those trash tires back and give me the KO2s lol. I probably had a bad set and it happens but I wasn’t willing to try a different set. Anyway, I’m Happy now which is what it’s all about :D

Other than looks, heavy muddling, and real rock crawling, does going from 265/70R16 to 265/75R16 really have legitimate pros to offset the heavier weight (with its corresponding loss of mpg/performance/additional stress on components)? Secondly, I see little love for the Goodyear Wrangler Adventure w/Kevlar but they seem alright so far for my use.

The Wranglers work for me. I mostly off road in sandy conditions and the rounded edges of the Wranglers work better than the more square shoulder of KO2's, etc. They tend to roll over rather than dig in when aired down. On the other hand the KO2's do look a lot better.

Like you said mostly looks, but as long as you go with a lighter weight tire like the falkens wildpeaks AT3w you honestly don’t see a noticeable different in anything. I’ve had plenty of lifted trucks some with 35x12.50 and in my experience if you don’t offroad or drive your truck hard you won’t have near or any of the fears and worries people talk about with bigger tires and parts breaking. It mostly when you are off-roading that all that starts to play a major cause with breaking stuff.

I’ve had luck with the Goodyears in the past, so I stuck with them.

Thank you TheThorn, Arden82, and shark413. Mature and honest comments all. I have modified vehicles in the past. Never satisfied with the results, plus reduced the usefulness and resale value of the vehicles (not that I plan of getting rid of this excellent truck). Better to just buy something designed for your needs by a group of experienced engineers (unfortunately managers and marketing folks muck it up a bit). I spend winter in S. Florida and summer in Central Ontario. There isn’t much in the way of off-roading down south except for flooding from rains. In Canada (gravel and farm dirt roads) it seems to be alot of KO2s and Duratracs (other than Michelin Defender LTX MS). I am going to give the OE Goodyear’s a non externally influenced try. After 20,000km they have not disappointed. Waiting to see if that changes with wear plus how long they really last me.

Hey ladies and gents. I know this forum is for tire sizes. but a lot of posts have lifts included with tire size. I’m wondering for those of you with Toyota’s safety sense technology. how did lifting your truck effect that feature if at all??? Did adding bigger tires effect it??

    cheers

58E70FD9-C56C-4712-B4DA-8DB2D14BE5FD.jpg I went out wheeling yesterday and I had some rubbing issues. At full lock and flexing the 265/75R16 General ATX tires rubbed big time! Has anyone else experienced this?

Quite a few things at this point..
Do you have a lift or are you on stock height? If no lift, I'd suggest removing the mud flaps. But then again, depends on where you're rubbing, so we need that info as well. Also what is your wheel offset?

Go to Toyota.com/owners or even carfax, put in your VIN. It'll tell you if you have any recalls on your vehicle, wouldn't worry about it otherwise. But if you're still interested, Google "Tacoma TSS recall" and it'll inform you.

Going up .5 inches or just 1 inch isn't going to do anything more than likely. A lot of people have lifted several inches and had no issues with their sensors. It can really depend truck by truck. You might get an issue and need it recalibrated, you may not. Gotta jump in and find out.
