Thank you for being patient with us, we our hardest to provide perfect products but they are fabricated products. The light bar tabs are welded in before the shackle mounts, so every now and then the heat may pull them in/out. It generally takes a few seconds to fix manually.

    All the things!
I actually helped @msgs350 with his install, as I already had the OG Slimline bumper and was fairly familiar with the installation process.

The issue with his light bar tabs was that they were not properly spaced when welded. The base of the tabs were narrower than the width of the lightbar (BD S8). So while "yes", the solution to getting the lightbar in the bumper was to bend the tabs over, the fact that the base of the tabs were not properly spaced, meant that the bar could not be fully seated. After substantial bending, we got it "close enough", but it certainly doesn't fit as cleanly as it could be.

Was it a difficult fix? No, not at all. I completely understand that these bumpers aren't manufactured under NASA tolerances and slight adjustments are to be expected. I think @msgs350 was just providing feedback to the manufacture, so that it could possibly be addressed on future builds. For example, maybe measuring the tab spacing as part of the QC process, prior to the bumper going to PC. Or, maybe the tabs could be spaced farther apart, so it's not such a tight fit. I'd rather shim the bar with washers, than bend powdercoated metal.

Hey man, I appreciate the feedback. I truly do, but each customer is different so while you may want the washers, the next guy isn't going to want washers and bash the product for needing shims. All you have to do for proof is go to the Stage 2 thread when our jig got off and we had to correct it, people had to use a couple shims and it was a giant ordeal. We ended up replacing people's Stage 2s who felt it needed to be replaced and I offered that to the thread. But the shims... they were a huge deal. So each customer, means new standards for our fabrication process.

This is why we do the best we can to make our allowances as tight as they can get. The Baja Design Light Tab mounts have a keyway to mount into the face of the bumper so they're mounted in the same spot generally every time. The keyway does allow for a lasered .01 clearance for that specific keyway, so it can sway a little bit at the base but it's usually within a hundredth of an inch.

Because the tab is is so thin, the heat from the padeyes being welded in or how our powder coaters handle the bumper could easily move warp/move that metal. So many hands touch the bumper that it's hard to say where these tabs get bent randomly.

I've love to add pulling tape measuring but generally speaking, the issue isn't super common and if it is, it's usually fixed within 20-30 seconds. We kind of rely on the lasers and fabricators to ensure that the tabs are within spec, and 99% of the time they are.

I do appreciate the feedback, I want to say that again, just each customer has different expectations and allowances and making every customer 100% happy we've learned a long time ago is just impossible. All we can try to do is make it right by our customers when they feel slighted.

On your site it says $69 flat rate shipping for the US on slimline bumpers. Are these included?

Nah, these ain’t the ones for that flat rate. These are sent via freight.

Since you’re in Florida, it might not be as bad compared to folks on the west coast.

Looks great! Just an fyi, though, the winch cover plate is intended to mount from the interior of the bumper and be flush with the face.

Finally got mine installed today - with a Warn EVO 10S. I really dig how sleek everything looks. It did appear that they did have to manipulate that center plastic bracket to make the winch fit- but it fits nonetheless.

Athena approves of this modification. IMG_0670.jpgIMG_0675.jpgIMG_0673.jpg

Did you paint the cement shackles yourself or buy them from somewhere?

    Still stock completely capable!
I could be wrong but that looks like the colour of the ones we get on the tug boats from the factory. So I would guess a marine shop should Sell them.

The full bumper weighs in about 85-90 lbs and the tube bumper weighs about 75-80 lbs.

Just a printed cover, flexible surround, to pop in and keep junk/debris out. Painting the grey body color, and the middle black piece matches the trim under the headlights.
