Good question. 04B14 only comes as a Tune Pack in vF format. You will need to get a dongleless REG file before you can flash it, and @OVTune won't send the REG file until he has received your dongle.

Yes. You get it for free though.

I came from 04B13 and there is a lot good things about 04B14 Stock. The tunes on top are even better.

i always export to a different name to ensure i dont lose them.

i have 3 iterations of mine. crazy, lazy, and the last one i posted.

let me know what you think. so far im 100 miles into it and had to deal with horrible stop and go traffic today and yesterday, as well as my morning commute (which is open roads) and it was really smooth in both.

however, im working through a limitation with full throttle. you can check out my last post in the big VF thread to see what im talking about

Thank you for all your help. I've have been away for so long, I feel green again. I followed the old dev thread from day one and was a very early supporter ( obviously, i have the dongle lol) but trailed off after 2.0 was released. Not even sure why.... So I am playing catch up....

New map available with the latest update.

Torque calculated base during full throttle.

    @tonered
simple seat of the pants question for you..
would you agree that 04B04 edits we tried are about 10% "numb" compared to any previous 04B14 iterations?

today I'm taking it back to 04B14 with 100% limits, speed limiter 312kph, and AGM edits. and will consider adding 1 round of 800-2k smoothing (interpolating).

about 200 miles yesterday on 04B04 and although the previous impressions i posted still hold true, something's not right when my throttle response. subtle. but not ready to dive into throttle response experiments on 04B04 until how to do it gets more clear.

I'm not sure about numb but i loaded @tonered 04b04 v3 in mine today and it felt good.

Not much difference in what i had before but definitely another than the v2 he had

i just saved the 04B14 i noted above w/o the 800-2k interpolating, about to flash and assess again from there. the interpolating did smooth things out some but at the expense of some throttle sharpness it seems, but that wasn't really clear until running B04 yesterday. i would really like to do B04 and sharpen up the throttle. appreciate your efforts to get into relatively independent throttle controls.

EDIT: flashed and drove the above... instantly happier with it.

Thanks! @OVTune did a very nice job there. I am very happy with it also.

Yes, not a big change over V2, but enough.

    :D

    That is great to hear!

I do think @92ehatch 's throttle maps would be good on top of this.

Yes. It is like you are saying about 10% less. I am trying to determine if it is an actual change or just smoothness hiding it. It does leave room to play with the Primary Throttle maps.

i would like to show why i made the throttle changes i did.

During testing for why i cant get WOT i decided to load OVtunes 04b41 premium SFOB back into the truck and compare.

For one, WOT in both my file and Ovtunes file do not allow WOT. It peaks then reduces. I also tried the tip he gave last night with no change (yet)

Here is a picture of the bucking i get and @MOC221_ get when applying light throttle. It will do this in any gear.

    buckinglowrpmlowthrottle.jpg

Look at the throttle and rpm, up down up down up down.

Here is a zoomed in version of the last part

    buckinglowrpmlowthrottlezoon.jpg

The throttle edits that i made seem to eliminate or lessen this.

I just figured since i had the file loaded i would do a data log to show why i made the changes i did.

As was mentioned in the main thread, are you subject to the recall?

    The 19 fuel pump recall?

Ive checked multiple times and my truck was not listed as a part of that.

However, i did see where someone couldn't get full throttle due to the fuel pump. I'm thinking of logging to see if i'm leaning out.

    That is my thought.

They have a fix. I think it is just a supply problem since it was a batch issue.

    Nice work guys...
I haven't touched the tuning laptop in quite a while lol.
I still have plenty to do WRT the primary throttle and 1st gear maps
I've also noticed that 2k to about 3200 seems to be a power plateau right now on my truck. I really notice it in 2nd gear, as the RPMs rise through that range it doesn't seem to pull harder.. kinda weak if you know what I mean..
