Looks really similar to the 4x4 labs offerings for cruisers. I like it!

I took the panel out once to fix it, its maybe 9lbs and the mechanism is probably another 15 or so. I'd love to remove it and weld the whole thing up, it's a dumb feature in any vehicle. But right now we're getting ready for winter build season and the truck is on the chopping block for that.

Just been doing maintenance, I don't have the extra time before winter to do much else. It'll get more love in spring, right now it gets to be a daily pig again while the truck goes in for suspension and body surgery. Build season is upon us gentlemen

I try to wrap up all car projects by Thanksgiving. Then go into a freeze period of none to very minimal maintenance until after Feb 14th. The weather here is too unpredictable between those dates to start much of a car project.

The truck is getting done in garages, lots of it is lego, some welding, but it's all stuff I can accomplish inside. The cruiser I could do emergency work on in the garage or my buddy's place. But I prefer to just get it to a comfortable place and leave it until spring, it sounds dumb having the more expensive rig get second spot all the time. But quite frankly it's a daily to me and doesn't get to have all the last minute and experimental work the truck does. It needs to be working.

Damn my steering rack adjustment nut was loose enough to spin with my fingers, tightened it up but I think I did it too much because now my wheel doesn't want to return to center when I turn lol

Torque spec is only 26ft/lbs but it takes a 24mm Allen key, can't exactly put that on a torque wrench. Guess I'll back it off a tad and see

Wait I'm dumb, I can put a 24mm socket on the torque wrench and then put the 24mm Allen key in that

Good watching out. I hadn't dug into that site far enough for the fenders to have noted that yet. Thanks.

@Kwikvette @Empty_Lord I forgot my one complaint about brand new STmaxx... Shit gets wedged in the deep treads and makes tons of noise on the road lol

We have a million of these stupid palm tree seeds all over our street, they're like rocks. They set off car alarms and leave dents when people are dumb enough to park under them
