Did a search and could not find anything that matched. Did a weekly walk around truck to check for anything out of ordinary and noticed where the rear brake lines come close to parts of the frame rub marks. Is this normal? If not, how screwed am I?

2010 TRD OR DCSB stock suspension, wheels and tires. Passenger side is first pic.

those are the E brake cables.

Make sure the brackets that mount to the leaf spring are present and attached

You can always bend the bracket a smidge to pull the cable away from the frame. God knows how many times i have re positioned my cable brackets (both on the frame side and leaf spring side) due to changes in rear suspension.

Thanks! Will give it a shot. Just hoped it wasn't a one of a kind issue.

Would worn out leaf springs be a culprit to making that type of contact severe? Looks like the leafs are flat or have a negative arch

Looks like they are getting there. Have parts just need to have time to do it. Avoiding any rough trails at moment.

It's really not a big deal. Bend the brackets so that the lines are out of the way if they are touching stuff. They have an anti- chafe protector put on them as well and underneath that is the insulation material itself, THEN the cable. Go hit some trails. You aren't going to die.

Check where the cables enters the drums. If it's broken there; that would, I imagine affect how the cable runs to the first bracket.

If they are broken going into the drums, get raybestos brand from rock Auto. I went the advance Auto parts and AutoZone route. It was not a pretty sight. The raybestos cables are very close to OEM.

Not a very difficult job to replace. At the same time, it's not a

Edit:... Job you want to do twice.

Thanks, checked and they feel pretty solid in there. Just going to bend the brackets out some and hope that fixes it.
