I whacked the Lee bullet puller extremely hard pulling some 30-30’s and never cracked it or broke it, I can imagine it’s disconcerting.

Dad came by the house and wanted to know if I wanted to go to the gun shop with him and look at the .308’s that he had been looking at.
We ended up looking at a CZ and Tikka Hunter, he wanted the Tikka Veil but they didn’t have it in .308 so he was going to get the CZ but when he was doing the paperwork the employee found a Veil chambered in .308 in the back and he ended up getting it.
Now I just need to talk him into buying a decent scope for it and not just a $200 budget option.

Yesterday I bought for 185 bucks a NEF single shot 204 Ruger with a Bushnell Banner scope on it set in rings that were about 1 3/4" high. I put low rings and a Rocky Mtn Elk Foundation 3-9x50 older scope. After a good scrubbing Itook it to the range and the 1st shot out of it at 25 yds was dead center of the X. shooting factor Hornady 32gn V-max. Then went to 100 yds and a few adjustments for excellent grouping. Will use it for prairie dogs in a couple weeks.

They are all old stock - you can tell by the package design.

They will work just fine (I have lots of old primers as well) - just surprised to see those still available.

Or did you buy them from a private party?

Ive bought some old stock primers as well a few weeks back. I think older guys are selling their stash to local gun shops for a hefty profit.

Thank you friend, it’s pretty much a daily carry for me out here in the boonies. If, in the very rare instance that I find myself heading into a real city (PDX being the closest), I tend to carry something with a wee bit more capacity .

I scored some primers today, still looking for small rifle primers though.
I also got some mini ammo cans to store the primers in.

When they're selling primers by the hundred, you know things are bad.

My son loves his Tikka in 7mm/08. But I am not going to lie my CZ is by far the nicest rifle I’ve ever owned. I love the forward set trigger and the mini Mauser action is smooth as butter.

Found a Hornady Full Die Set for my son’s 7mm/08. Picked up some 7mm/08 Nosler Ballistic Tips and extra brass as well. Not much else on the shelves though.

Picked up another Hogue grip, this time for my GP100. I like the classic GP100 grip but as with my other revolvers, this one gets carried and trained with, so function wins out over fashion (again).

Bought some new targets. Love my XD. Gets smoother every time I shoot it.
