Higher elevations are turning quick. I was up in South Lake Monday-Wed and the aspens were all bright yellow going over Spooner.

Awesome. Sounds like a tahoe drive-around might be up for this weekend for us.

All my Relentless stuff has bomb proof power coating. My front bumper still looks brand new after 4 years now. Not a single chip or peeling anywhere.

Relentless Armored! Too many others to list.
We've used a few over the years, and some are now gone or under new ownership. Currently I'd recommend Advanced powder coating and Marq powder coating for larger pieces and Rockin E Custom for smaller parts with quick turn around.

I got an AllPro skid as one of my first upgrades. Thing has been a beast, but were I to buy again, I'd of course support my local duders. Powder coating will probably do a lot better than the paint that came on mine.

Trees in my neighborhood are changing quickly up here. I'm in Zephyr Cove at almost lake level. This picture of my yard.

Went up to Spooner today fall is definitely in the air.

So I work in outside sales, which means I'm usually on the road 3 weeks out of the month. We got grounded in April, and finally today I put on a pair of long pants for the first time since April. Cannot wait for cool weather. I am not a summer heat type of person.

Incidentally, probably the longest amount of time I haven't been on an airplane for well over a decade.

Random piss poor shot in the dark, but if any of you happen to come across a used shell in quicksand for a long bed let me know. I'm working up my nerves to buy a new one ($3200 as optioned, ouch).

Going to go with the ARE Overland unless someone else has another recommendation. Sliding windoors, foldable front glass, LED lighting, yada yada.

I would buy a go fast camper if they weren't a year out. shell + hardshell rooftop tent is pushing 7k as it is.

Have you looked at the aluminum or stainless offerings like from Alu-Cab or RLD?

I have an Alu-Cab with an Autohome hardshell and really like the setup. Lighter and way stronger than fiberglass. Not sure on the Alu-Cabs but I know with RLD they will paint match.

Any idea on what the ballpark price point is? I haven't looked into them yet. I liked the idea of having a shell that fits with the ergonomics of my truck, but I'm not opposed to having something a bit "uglier" if the price point is in line.

Mine was just over 3k shipped when I bought it last year. They are definitely boxier but I like the more utilitarian look.

I would take that to bed. I'll do some more investigation. Good lucking truck.

Edit: You live in Reno proper? Would you mind me coming and taking a peek at your setup one day? Have mask, will travel.

    Hey guys,

I have a Maggiolina Hard shell tent. It’s an older model and has been faded out. When it rains, white residue ends up on the vehicle. Do you guys have any recommendations on how to restore the top?
    Thanks

Depends how bad it is and if there is any gel coat left. It’s essentially the same thing as a boat with fiberglass and a gel coat so I would check out some boat related products.

    Maybe something like this?
