FTW ... metal on metal contacts for long lasting wear, bought 2 (1 for backup) at 30.00 each from Costco like 8 years ago and still going strong. Does everything I've needed which is mostly protein shakes, but also a ton of spinach, carrots and all types of fruit/berries vitamin drinks.

Edit: use almost everyday or eod !

So the last couple weeks I've tried to switch more to intuitive eating, rather than track everything to the T on an app and feeling like I'm slave to the tracking device. Plus I'm adding activity like crazy so if I is hungry, I eat. Simple as that. I get my fat and protein minimums which is all I truly care about.

Stepped on the scale this morning.

    I'm fat. Gained 3lbs in 2 weeks. :(

Personally I also don't like the "slave to the tracker" thing and don't track all my eating. Just something I've decided based on my mindset. What I do is watch what I eat and try to maintain the proper balance, then use the scale to monitor. I also weigh myself every day. While some say that can be a bad thing, again, personally, I know that I can vary a pound or two daily just 'cuz, but I can almost always tie a weight delta to my eating/exercise for the previous day or two. And my daily eating/activity is never tied to a scale reading, only if it lasts a week or so and appears to be a trend. But, that's me, I have adjusted based on my mindset.

Agreed. Up until I went on vacation I was weighing myself 3 times a week and then putting into my fitness/food spreadsheet. So I only really look at average weekly intake and weekly average weight. Something to try to balance out those normal daily fluctuations in water weight.

I knew stepping on the scale I was going to be heavier. My abs are going away so it's clear I'm gaining weight and I feel it. Getting away from using the scale or tracking aps as a crutch gets you in tune more with your body and makes not using those things easier.

I feel good right now, so while mentally I'm not thrilled about adding weight prior to my race, I feel fine so I shouldn't let that mentally bother me.

Alsoooo idk how y’all be happy weighing 140-165lbs. You lean but tiny. I’m finally growing my wings and shoulders and shit... look in the mirror feeling small AF. I’m 203lbs. I could cut down to 180-185 and “look” bigger but in the end still small.

The want to get huge is growing more and more :anonymous:

I like being light and agile. I don’t want to feel like an obese asthmatic when I run, hike, or do home projects.

I also have no desire to be huge. Not an attractive look to me, although I repect those who get big and the dedication it takes to get there.

I’ll be happy when I’m done with my 50M. I’ll focus on lifting again. I’d like to add some mass. My legs are dinky from the injury :( like... its embarrassing.

Had a shit run today. Not entirely sure what the deal was but I think it was on off day where I was fasted and glycogen was off. I was starving while I was running and thats not normal for me. I had fantasies of bananas and salt and vinegar almonds (@Travish325 insert dick and ball joke here)

It was actually a wonderful opportunity to practice training through “the wall” but like a moron I brought no food and no carb drinks so it turned into a “fuck this” run and I headed home early. Did 13 miles out of 16.

    Saucony Mad Rivertrails are Meh.

My knees were knocking pretty bad today and unsure if its the fact that these are mega neutral shoes and I’m an over pronator or I’m tired from the increase in earlier weekly miles but they didn’t feel as stable as I like. The soles felt lacking in overall stability and protection.
Need more runs in them to judge though.

I’m in the 11th hour of the 50k which will be a practice for my 50M. I want to practice with all my gear and food.

Wasn’t loving the Mad River Trls so in a panic to find goid shoes, I did a thing

I am the worst person to talk to regarding shoes! If they’re wide enough I’m sold lol. I hunt using a boat so most of the areas are swampy or the likelyhood of being in a swamp is high, I wear rubber boots, terrible for hiking but will keep you dry from outside moisture. If I was trail running in the rain I’d wear something Merrill but I know nothing and don’t run lol
