Sassafras come up here like weeds...and I mean that literally.
(Birds eat the berries and spread 'em all over.)
But just try transplanting a seedling deliberately.

    Good luck. :fingerscrossed:

Random: At the Club's 200 yard rifle range today.

    20201010_161413.jpg

Had a helluva time sighting in my new AR-15.
Only had a couple hours Thursday and it wasn't enough to do it right.
Got off work today and went to the rifle range and got lucky...only a couple guys there.
After a while it was just me.

    I confirmed something I'd read:
55 grain bullets are iffy from a 1:7 twist barrel.
You AR guys are probably saying "Duh".
I couldn't get a group less than 4 MOA to save my life.
Which makes sighting in particularly difficult.

I got it to where I guessed it was pretty close, then switched to 62 grain FMJ cartridges.
I don't have many of those just yet. Gonna order some when they're in stock again.
Last group of the day, right at sunset, and oh what a difference.

    20201010_193907.jpg

I must say I'm pleasantly surprised.
I didn't expect this barrel to be particularly accurate.

Those fucking groundhogs are in trouble now.
And I'm gonna be very popular with the Mennonite farmers around here. :)

    About the target:
Candidates for office in these parts don't hand out buttons...targets are much more appreciated. :notsure:

Thank You. I normally wear Timex Expedition watches. I wanted something different for a change so I went to a jewelry store with my wife to look at some. I was going to get a different one and commented that someday I want the blue one. My wife said, today is someday and told the lady we will take it. I am a lucky mo’fucka.

Random pics from today. I drive by this place 6-8 times a day but there is no place to park. Today I went by with the bike and finally got to see it up close. BC87F277-2B4F-4B09-839B-0FB5A85C97BE.jpg
