    Sounds like fun! I'd like to be added to the tentative list. Kid friendly? If so, we might be in my wife's 2nd Gen Xterra. If not, then my 1st Gen Tacoma.

    I’ve seen a race truck going 70 on the section by the bridge, I’d probably try to keep up but with as many trucks you will likely be keeping a much slower pace.

    First leg will be pretty slow till we get to the wash. Second leg is still undecided, but should be faster than the first.

    OK everyone,

    We're less than a week out from the trail run and we need to start finalizing the participants so that we know who we can expect at the Gen Patton Museum at 9:00am ( 62510 Chiriaco Rd, Chiriaco Summit, CA 92201 ). We'll expect to leave no later than 9:30am to get to the trail head to air down and I would prefer not to leave anyone behind. As of this writing, we're looking at 18 committed rigs with a potential of 30+ and up to 10 rigs may be camping somewhere overnight. With that many rigs on a trail, the view of all of them in tandem is really impressive. We'll be gathering in the middle of the Gen Patton Museum parking lot, so we should be an easy group to find.

    IF you're going to be late, you need to notify us in this thread ( or through another member that WILL be there ) the moment you suspect you'll be late with an ETA of your arrival. I strongly suggest that you fuel up at the Chevron, then meet us next door at the museum parking lot. This way, we remove any confusion as to who is fueled up and ready to go.

    For those with an in-cab or hand-held HAM radio, we'll be on frequency 151.625 as it seems to have less interference for some reason.

    For the San Diego county folks, we can meet at the ARCO gas station off of Deer Springs Rd ( 26915 Mesa Rock Rd, Escondido, CA 92026 ) at 6:30am and caravan to the museum from there. I'll be taking the 15N -> 215N -> 10E route because it's faster with no windy roads getting there. The LA area folks are also more than welcome to organize a caravan to the museum as well.

    It is going to be a long day for those making this a day run, so pack a lunch, bring snacks, put some beverages in a cooler with ice for our long break at the rail road trestle. IF there are any questions, please let us know.

    Lastly, help us update the below lists so that we can avoid leaving someone behind.

    We look forward to seeing everyone next Saturday, the 17th.

    Yeah, this isn't a hardcore run by any stretch of the imagination.
    It is a fun, easy, scenic cruise that is wife and dog friendly with pretty much no "oh shit" factor.

    Wife is cool although I did mildly freak her out slinging my truck sideways on shelf roads, in the snow/mud, with a broken front diff while singing the Dukes of Hazard theme.

    Dog ain't about it, she isn't long travel.

    My dog is my ride or die. I can't marry myself though....
    As soon as I get the chance, I'm gonna send it. I've been wayyyy too itchy these last few months.
    {Obvious side note to say I will not endanger myself or anyone in the group}
