It's less Tacoma and more mod
Find a safe place to vent them and cap the port where it enters the engine bay unless you desire a vac leak. Lots of designs have purge line venting into the frame rail for safety, keep it away from sparks and flame. It is fuel vapor afterall.

I think the Midwest salt will wash fluid film off pretty quick. I have multiple cans of FF and like it....but seriously doubt it will hold up long.

It is pretty rotted out. I had a plastic bed liner in it and it is rotted by both fender wells. It also has damage on the driver side taillight. Message me if you want it for free. The new "old" one has fender flares and fender well guards so now I have two sets of SR5 black plastic fender well guards and fender flares. Even have a pair of mud flaps (not 4X4 marked though). Was thinking about keeping them for backups. But this old girl has 385K on her and not sure how much longer she will survive.

It's made for a 3rd Gen 4runner (2 washer fluid pumps). Only mod needed was to plug 1 of the holes with a 1/2 PVC plug.

I was surprised when I saw that this was such an issue on the 6lug trucks. On all the 5 lugs this is how the washer tank is set up.

think that will fit my 04? there's room there under the hood. Should be the same plug for the pump...and the tanks are cheap on Amazon.

I was in Moab wheeling somewhat recently and I was getting a strong fuel smell coming from the driver front side of the truck. It was like 90 or so outside at the time.

First time it's happened and hasn't happened again since. I originally thought that maybe bad gas tank gasket, but didn't see any fuel near the tank and it was strongest smelling from the front.

Since my trucks a 2000, the evap canister is in the engine compartment on the driver side behind the battery.
You think mine could be clogged even though I don't have any codes? Kinda weird.
