IMO, there's no reason to do it if there's no noticable performance difference. Thanks for the heads up.

My main goal is the get smooth throttle and acceleration. The truck has always been lumpy and jerky.

In my logs you can see where the throttle would jump around, up down etc.

When i would try to take off in a hurry (full throttle) the truck would basically delay throttle, surge then i would feel a jerk, then it would smoothly accelerate.

I narrowed it down to the throttle plate, it would slow open then surge to full throttle then close abruptly to around half way, then it would slowly open as rpm increased.

I want the throttle plate to open and close based on my foot. You know, like a cable does

I just got done comparing a Reg file vs a Premium file. I didn't see ANY discernable differences. So either we can't make a Premium file from a Regular file, or they are the same thing with a different name. Anyone accidently run regular and notice it knocks with these new 2.0 VFT files?

Not all the tables Mat has access too, are in VFTuner yet. It’s possible the secret sauce is still in the pantry. :)

So how would you compare the posted Regular Performance tune posted here to your Performance+9.29 tune (aside from obvious GL mod)??

I have not logged with vf yet I am at work. but my 20 mile commute the throttle felt a lot more like 1.5 performance. I did my own air load smoothing so with the setting at (5000) and air load a bit smoother the throttle is sensitive again! Like 1/4 pedal it spins my 35s. I will log when I get off work. But no red flags and shifting feels the same. Just more bottom end power

edit# I have also checked the timing and such all the tables are the same from each tune. I think octane ov has the power over

Do you or @ihatemytruck have a 4.88 version of the latest premium tunes from @Mooseditty17 with his performance premium file? I can do the AGM settings, but have no idea how to do the gears and tires. I'm running 32's so 33" should be close

gears and tires are way easier than AGM - just go to the drive train section and look for front and rear differential (set them to your gears - 4.88) - leave reverse as is (do not change it), and just below is tires - set it to 16.000 (radius or 1/2 diameter of 32). remember to Save Map after changes and then Export and save/rename where you want it. I have MooseDitty's latest premium octane and regular octane performance tune (has GL) but have not modified yet - waiting on him to provide a little feedback on how, other than GL, they are different from his 9.29 tune.

I'm going to go ahead and mod for gears and tires (no agm for me) on both tunes MooseDitty just release - I will send them to you with 4.88's and 32's completed. Give me a while as I am going to flash the Regular Octane to the truck. All you will need to do is add the AGM and save/rename and flash. Will be sent via DM in zip format.

Thanks sir! Appreciate it. I have @Mooseditty17 last tune before the latest loaded on the truck, but have not driven it yet. Just realized it was for regular fuel. I’m going to run this a bit, so no rush

I thought it may have something to do with the fuel cut off too. I never changed it from the 6300.
