Been meaning to post some pics of that Savage 220 with Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5. Not being a very long scope, the front bell just clears the rail. Mounted with some low Warne mounts. Had to cut out a notch in the scope cover for it to fit.

Why is the scope so short, is it for an AR type rifle or what?

I’ve always liked bushnell products, have them on several guns and also a pair of binoculars

Not AR, I'm sure. It was listed as a "Shotgun" scope.

    :notsure:

Tried moving it forward some, but then eye relief was as issue and I couldn't turn the magnification ring as that could not clear the rail with those gear/grip protrusions.

Someone tell me where this came from. Shot a buck this evening. Found this and hair and a small piece of meat. Not a single drop of blood

    Nut shot?

Which way was he facing? It’s either low belly, between the back legs, or under his upper neck/behind jaw area with the white hair.

I shot a doe once in the snow, knocked her down, she ran off. Tons of grey/white hair, not a single drop of blood.

He was facing me, slightly angled where I could see his left side, but almost straight on.

Yeah I think he is younger bro or son/grand son of the one I shot last year... Looks like a great first deer for a 6 year old girl haha

I've always heard shooting a brisket yield similar results

No way to get his nuts from where I was unless I took out a lot of other meat. I was thinking brisket shot. I originally thought I got low lung but I would expect blood somewhere.

That makes sense because every shotgun I’ve ever seen that was drilled and tapped for a scope mount was closer than a rifle plus with the shells ejecting out the side the mount would be shorter.

I figured that rail section has to be that long/high to clear the large opening for the larger shotgun shells.
