Rough idle

I've got about 3600 miles on my 2020, its very smooth and quiet. Haven't noticed any roughness yet. Been only using E10 87 fuel. I'd try a can or two of seafoam if you suspect poor fuel as the cause.

No, it’s not normal. Mine does not sound like that at all.

 

So then the question is, what could be the culprit, because mine also sounds like that.

1. I also have a hesitation when at highway speeds/ very minor but noticeable.
2. At stop lights, if the AC is on the RPM's will go from 1,00 to about 600 and then jump back up.

At first I thought plugs, but it's a new truck. I also had to go to the dealership and have the rotors cut because they were out of round, that fixed the vibration when braking, about 70%.

 

I have a 2020 as well. Any luck figuring thjs idle issue out??? I got the same thing and am upset a new truck feels like this..not only this but I get shuddering when braking.40-60mph while driving light throttle I get a repeated errrrm ermmm ermmm sound...feels like a 1976 truck on its last leg that you wanna get rid of for something newer and smoother..

 

Ever get the brake shudder figured out?? I have the same issue and they gave me new drums but not shoes....i founf a tsb that says some have acle flange issues..might be a little undersizrd letting it wobble...i plan to replace drums ,get the new ones machined,replace shoes and measure axle.flanges when I do so to make sure theres no issues..if after that I still get the ahuddering then I'm gonna start looking at u joints,driveline angles and hope to god I dont have to stay worrying its the tranny.

 

My 2021 does not run like that at all the only issue that I have is when idling it hesitates when you give it some throttle not like my other Taco.Is this normal. I mean when you touch the throttle it should rev up right away not a second later. No big deal.

Shit, hurts knees, idles and sounds like tractor, seats uncomfortable, tires rub, vibrates, missing lots more...


Why are people buying these things? Time to join Ridgeline World!

 

I hear a lot of complaining about the Tacos maybe they should of bought a GM, Ford or Dodge see if they would be happier.
I love my Tacos and have from the 1-3 Generation until I came here on TW all I hear is whining and crying, bitching etc etc. Some have good info and points but others hmmm. Just saying.
