Hey all, ive been doing some research but seem to be getting different answers from different people. I currently have a stock 2020 TRD OR. I was looking to lift it between 1 and 2 inches MAX. (Bistein 5100 and add a leaf perhaps?). I also plan on going with 275/70/17 and ray10s with a -10mm offset, sitting on BFG KO2s. The majority of people say it wont rub but is this true? If not, does it come dangerously close to rubbing?

It will rub. A cmc and fender trimming will be needed.

Edit. LAWLZ. I read this at 285/70/17 not 275/70/17

    you’re probably good.

Most people running 275 (not 285) 70/17 have minor rubbing only on the front mud flaps if running 7” wide Toyota 17” rims. You may rub slightly more with your rims, but I would just go for it before stressing out about A full CMC. There is a good chance you may not need it.

I have a similar setup with 285s, MT tires and 4runner Pro wheels. No rubbing.

I guess the things that would make a difference between your setup and mine are tires and offset

Wrong. I have that exact setup except my wheels are -12 offset and my tires are Falken Wildpeaks. I only rub very slightly in front of the front tire and am nowhere near needing a CMC. Easily fixed by trimming the bottom corner of the fender flare. A friend has exact same setup as me but with 0 offset wheels and no rub or trimming at all. Another friend has 0 offset but with BFG 285s and no rub or trimming. All three of us have the Eibach Pro Kit with 2” or slightly less up front. We also all have stock upper control arms. My caster is set at 2.5

I’m right in regards to 285/70/17. I read it wrong. However You just admitted it rubs. Making me right.

All the prolific claims of barely rubbing during normal day to day driving always leaves me wondering how bad the rubbing will be if and when yall ever do stuff a tire.

So far no one has exactly the same setup including wheels and tires so it is still undetermined.

It also matters what you are carrying and how fat you are. I suppose someone could be heavy but not fat.

Tint, backflip bed cover, winjet taillights, trd pro grill with raptor style lights, 6112s up front and 5160s with icon aal rear, SPC UCA's, 275/70r17 ko2s dark bronze ray 10s, c4 hybrid front bumper, x4 baja designs squadron sports, baja designs 30in s8 light bar.
So I have bilstein 6112s and 5160s with icon aal with 275/70/17 to be able to properly offroad you'll have to trim some plastic from the bumper but that's bout it. Maybe 1/4 of an inch MAYBE.

Edit: forgot to mention I have ray 10s as well also gotta lose the front flaps

I put them on with the Eibach kit. No rubbing anywhere. 2.25" inch lift. Stock UCA's too.

You're saying that if I run 275/70/17 on my stock '20 Sport wheels, and it will rub?

I am on Bilstein 5100 with OME887 and HS 3-leaf progressive AAL.

Yeah just because the sport wheels have a good chunk of positive offset. You probably would rub when it comes to the bumper or fender liner (or maybe just slightly) the main thing you'll rub is going to be your UCA. I'd just go with 265 to be safe and as well 265 still looks pretty dam good.
