    Hello all
Here’s a question I have. I want to lift my truck with a 2 inch Old Man Emu Heavy duty lift kit, add 17 inch 4Runner TRD Pro wheels, with 285/70/17. Will that set up cause any rubbing or require trimming? Would going with a 275/70/17 be a better idea?

With 285/70/17 I think you may have some rubbing. I'm not too sure since I'm still running stock

A remedy for that would be a cab mount chop and trimming

275/70/17 is the way to go

The best idea would be to leave the stock suspension alone and stick with stock sized tires.

It also depends on the tires you’re running sometimes. I lifted about 3” and also did new UCA’s. No front flaps and I don’t have any rubbing. I also running SCS wheels though they are -10

I think post #5 says it all. Doing a lift can rest in a can of worms on these trucks.

If you want to run 285s with those wheels you're going to have to do the cab mount chop.

I have 285s and the 4Runner Pro wheels, SPC UCAs with a 2 inch lift and this is the clearance I have with a CMC. I still need to remove a little more plastic to be completely rub free.

I have 285 Nitto Terra Grapplers that are only 45lbs per tire.

Never been a fan of the limited selection of 275 tires.
