I have a 2019 sport with 11 k miles. The clutch started squeaking around 9 k miles. Researched the threads on reasons / repairs performed and brought Tacoma to dealer who greased clutch parts with success for about 1000 miles. Looked deeper into solutions and found an updated TSB ( sorry I don’t have number now) which is a replacement of the master clutch assembly plus assorted parts which has different part numbers so they changed specific items with updated ( hopefully ) non squeaking parts. After it was performed the squeezing is gone but the clutch peddle when depressed only engages when depressed almost to the floor. There is so much play in the clutch that it feels odd. Well back AGAIN to the dealer. I make this note to fellow MT drivers having this repair to make note if having repaired. Hope its just a adjustment.

Mine is doing it 5k miles ... already had it at the dealer once they lubed it . Noise went away for a week and came back with a vengeance. I have another appointment to get this problem fixed . I hope this doesn’t turn into a weekly dealership visit .i don’t understand why toyota can’t seem to fix a problem that has been well known for years .

All my Tacoma’s never had any Issues including my 2020 6 speed manual shifts fine clutch is Great! I feel it’s more about people not knowing how to use a clutch and ruin it or damage them I bet that is more the Issue than Toyotas fault

Get under there and lube the pivot points with Disc Brake Grease, it doesn't melt away.

plenty of people have the issue
some start to hear it at 2k some at 5k and some at 10k some never do. It isn’t the actual clutch so you can’t really F*ck it up. I’ve heard it on my stage 2 clutch and my OEM clutch. I also have a rattle now up top of the squeak. I just don’t mind it anymore my 2nd gen was noisier.

Your logic doesn’t make any sense . A squeak when pushing in clutch has nothing to do with destroying a clutch . The noise is present when stationary even without shifting into gear . Toyota mechanic confirmed it was coming from the rubber boot that is connected .

I just had the TSB done on my truck. It didn't change anything about the engagement of the clutch that I noticed, but the pedal feels better and tighter.

When did you have it done? How many miles so far? I’ve heard it’s gotten worse after a couple thousand. Please let me know

They did it just this past week with 15K miles on the truck. We'll see how it goes.

Yeah, no problem. Mine wasn't squeaking, btw. It was more like a popping or creaking noise as I operated the clutch. It was super noticeable when driving up the parking deck I use for work.

The squeak would happen even with Tacoma not running and parked when you depress peddle. The TSB was performed and clutch has slop in peddle. I need to almost fully depress peddle for the catching or point that clutch catches. I just hope the dealer needs to make an adjustment.
