Thankfully in my neck of the woods most of the power lines are underground.

It's mostly moved away from us now....heading north east. Zero drama to report here.

Electric company is too cheap to put the wires underground. The transformers on the telephone post are old and rusty. The electric grid is old and rusty. Always breaking down.

A squirrel was walking on the grid and shorted it. About 7 surrounding cities and towns lost power.

The wind is picking up a little.

That’s what I’m afraid of at this point. It didn’t start acting up again until it was about 7k out of warranty. Very subtle at first. I think you’re right though. I had a torque converter fail in my parents old Volvo. Had the same clunk upon takeoff.

I live in an apartment, don’t have any good place to do maintenance like this. About the most I can do is stuff where I can close the hood.

Since the transmission is a remanufacture I didn't think it was the tranny. It cost my friend around $250 for the converter installed a few years ago. It was also rear wheel drive. Since your is 4wd it going to be more. But, it's going to be cheaper than a new vehicle. If you feel you need a change of vehicle now is the time to trade it in while the Taco is still moving.

Has this annoying metal vibration here and and couldn’t figure it out for the life of me. Well I finally found it, it was the little metal shield above the cats. Needed to put a bigger washer behind the nut and voila it’s not gone.

Did the deal. Might put these on tomorrow. May be a couple days before I can get to an alignment shop by my daily commute is as far as my kid’s school and back.

2020 TRD OR takeoffs with very low miles.

Spent the last several days hanging off a ladder on a house/roof with standing seam metal roof....needed a paint job. Quite the project.

First time doing shocks on a Tacoma. Have done a 94 pickup, Miata, couple of Mazda 3’s. I’m sure I’ll figure it out.

Quite challenging. Lots of prep and very careful & deliberate movement on that roof. The only part of the roof that I came into contact with was the ridge cap...and it was my ass. The ladder fit nicely between each section...so I just went up & down and painted, got up on the rigde and moved the ladder. Made some padding for the ladder using pipe insulation to avoid leaving marks.

Darn, I was so looking forward to busting out my suicide sticks.

This’ll save me some time and aggravation. Just depends how much fussing it takes to wiggles the front coil over assemblies out.

I spent the day pulling up all the plastic edging around my patio and replaced it all with new stuff and put longer spikes in. When they put the patio in those fuckers put 1 plastic spike every 8 feet. I put a spike every 5 inches all the way around. Then put away all the furniture etc and leaf blew it all off.
