Hey everyone, I'm noticing the 2021 - Tacoma TRD Pros are in stock here in SoCal, anyone have luck catching one for MSRP, or does anyone have recommendations what would be a reasonable "market adjustment" would be? Or should I just refuse to pay any "market adjustment"?

Just wondering if this is a decent OR good deal? Would like to commit to a vehicle this week since my 26 year old T100 was totaled last month and need to get something to replace it...thanks!!!

I ran the numbers, and according to the 6% tax, it looks like you're saving around $1,871. So I think, this is a decent deal imo.

I scored a 2021 TRD PRO for $500 under invoice. But I'm in Pennsylvania. I'm sure location makes a big difference.

My window sheet shows LED Headlights with LED DRL + BLACK Bezel LED Footlights. So I must have them just not used to them. Going to run my VIN on the site too like you said.

    Thanks

All deposits are contingent upon inspection of the new vehicle. Call Toyota corporate customer service. They will help.

Hi everyone. I've been watching this thread for a while and getting great info. I hadn't planned on getting a new truck this year, my 2005 Silverado was serving me well even though I've thought about getting back into a Tacoma since I sold my 1st Gen in 2009 when I needed a fullsize. Unfortunately, another truck wanted to be in the same intersection at the same time I was and he didn't have much regard for red lights. The faithful Chevy gave her all for me so now I was in the worst market for truck shopping in recent memory. I started the process in August and quickly found that the truck I was wanting wasn't easy to find and I went through the "order/allotment" process. It took about 2 months but this is what I picked up last week:

    1. 2021, TRD OR, Cement, AT, DCLB
    2. MSRP: 45,284
    3. Options: Advanced Tech, Premium, LED, Bed Lights
    4. Dealer Add Ons: 0 (All weather floor mats included)
    5. Price before TTL: 41,485
    6. Discount: 9.16%
    7. Rebate: 1000
    8. Price OTD: 44,540 (6.25% tax and fees)
    9. Trade in: none
    10. n/a
    11. 0
    12. 10/08/2020
    13. TX
They also hooked me up with a loaner for 4 weeks since I didn't have any other ride and removed the TRD Off Road bed stickers (just not a fan of how the red looks against the cement). So, even though it took a while and wasn't the easiest of experiences, I think it worked out pretty well and I'm really liking the truck. Let the mods begin!

Has anyone bought an SR with a 6 speed manual? Apparently its available...

Probably a mistake by the dealer but everything else seems to add up correctly

Man, this is some great advice. Thank you. These dealers have been presenting a United front in negotiations so it’s nice to know how the game works. Thank you. I assume this is still applicable if I put down a deposit on a vehicle without an agreed upon price (I know ... stupid, but I’ve forgiven myself :))

It matters to get a sense of the % of discount. Not my first rodeo homie, hard to get an idea of your deal without knowing all the options. Anything else like port installed options? LED package, tonneau, etc?

Confused.. In your original post you state you're a newbie, now you are throwing out advice as if you are a seasoned veteran. Not to mention your advice is ridiculous. "dress nice and carry a folder?"

And him not revealing MSRP has me snickering, that along with dealers trolling here, okay bud. Got his deal minus $500, $39k on same truck plus LEDs and tonneau back in Feb $44.8k MSRP, without using rebates, dealer is still making money and his deal was not crazy to get prior to COVID demand. Plenty of threads here and discussion helping people maximize their position for buying. Not sure why refusing to discuss % off MSRP is a thing, but okay.
