Any Toyota dealership should honor warranty work. How the hell could you drive the thing out of your home area otherwise for the duration of the warranty period?
Sounds like more BS to me but wtfdik...
I'd run like hell from that stealership after you get your lights set up correctly.
Time to talk to another dealer for support, that place is bad news.
What's up with your HVAC ? I remember you said the window was scratched on delivery.

Would go straight to the highest Toyota level. Shit rolls down hill. Had to do it with FCA.

    My two cents...

If they charged you for the REAL LED headlights as part of the tech package and they gave you this... They owe you some REAL LED headlights.

If they just advertised "LED headlights" and you got these bulbs at no extra charge, no harm done although it is definitely shady on their end. (Not to mention probably illegal).

I'd replace them with Diode Dynamics HID conversion kit and never look back. LED bulbs in a halogen projector housing are ALWAYS a downgrade. No LED bulb can overcome that. (unless we are talking about LED's in an LED reflector housing, like Toyota puts in the new Tacoma)

I would protest outside their dealership, and handcuff yourself to the sign out front, and go on a hunger strike. That’ll teach them to mess with you.

An absolute falsehood. That is not even close to anything true. You can take it to any other toyota dealership at any other time. And I'd recommend it if you are still undecided after all of this. You can seriously get every service performed at a different dealership if you wanted to make a game out of it....

I can't really say what I would recommend for legal reasons, but it might rhyme with colotov mocktail....

Sorry, I just really dislike those guys.

You are free to go to any dealer for service and the fact they would say that you can ONLY go there would immediately compel me to look for another place.
Just be vigilant of any potentially misleading claims, double check your service receipt, and inspect their work before you leave the dealership.

The modes don't change, at least not all the way. When the mode selector knob is on defrost only, I still have air blowing out of all the vents, same with floor only, etc. Temp control/blend door works fine, just something with the mode selector or mode door. Hopefully it's just a vacuum line or something, honestly though I don't even know if third gens are vacuum actuated or have stepper motors.... either way it's warranty work.

the LED is the optional package. I think when they say "cement comes with LED", it means they order the car with LED package. I do not believe stock version of TRD OFF ROAD does not have LED lights.

Yah, I've already verified that looking at other dealerships inventory, see my later post that corrects it.

Ask the manager to put that in writing on a company letterhead and see what he says.

For anyone curious I did get the dealer to swap back to the factory halogens. The Manager said that the LED lights are part of a $250 package that they add on to all of their vehicles but that they forgot to charge me at the time of the sale which is why it wasn't on any of the paperwork. Shady... yes, but I checked and they didn't charge me anything for them so it's not a huge deal. I also brought up the fact that LEDs are technically illegal in halogen housings and they didn't seem to care. All in all not as big of a headache as I thought it would be and I'll be going to a different dealer that's closer to home anyway.

Thanks for the update OP!! Does CO have vehicle inspections? I wonder what else is in that $250 "package" that is of dubious value...

    HVAC fixed?

My county doesn't have safeties or emissions testing for most vehicles. I want to say emissions testing isn't required state wide unless the vehicle is more than 7 years old. And I'm not aware of any safety inspections in any Colorado counties. Not complaining, but you'd think they would at least want to check tires in a state that gets a fair amount of snow. I'm surprised every winter how many people have to get pulled out of a ditch or up a hill because they're driving on slicks. HVAC not fixed yet, I haven't even driven my truck for the last two weeks, work has been a little nuts. Hopefully I can get it back to the dealer this week.

I also had a sour experience with that dealer. I test drove a 2020 OR with everything I wanted and said I'll take it lets talk price. Turns out it supposedly SOLD. Then WTF are you still letting people test drive the vehicle. That and a poor trade in for my Audi and I left. Went to Groove and had a wonderful experience.

Agreed, Autonation offered me $5000 under what my Sierra was worth on trade, I think they bank on people not checking the value of their vehicle and just accepting whatever number the dealer offers.
The Groove dealerships are great, My girlfriend and I almost bought a used Rav4 from them over the weekend. They were even going to let me put it up on one of their lifts so I could get a look at everything and do my own PPI. By far the best dealer experience I've ever had, just sucks they don't have one down here in Colorado Springs.
