I've never had a single problem with them.

I think things went a little haywire when they were purchased by TrailGear, and they were merging everything. But I've ordered from them since then and they were good to go.

 

First time smoking my own jerky.. about 5 more hours

 

Use to ride salmon falls all the time in college on my CBR. Hella fun, but can be hella sketch with the big farm trucks hauling horse trailers.

 

5 hours? Damn bro. You gonna disintegrate that. When i dehydrate, i only do 3 hours

When I make jerky I smoke it at 250 degrees for 2 hours.

 

Pretty thin. Thats long but i also dehydrate too. What kinda meat do you use?

i smoke for 1 hour, then dehydrate for 2-3 hours . but its hard to compare without comparing with y'all right?

 

Back in my day, we'd park a truck at the corner of Salmon Falls, and Green Valley Rd, at a pull out, and ride our racing bicycles up Pilot Hill. Then bomb down later in the day. Back then, there was NOTHING out there but empty fields. Folsom Prison was the only thing anywhere for miles. One time we stopped on our way down at the Salmon Falls Rd bridge. Climb up the girders, and jump into the river. Good times.

 

About 8-10 hrs in an Excalibur dehydrator. Use Liquid Smoke in the brine, much easier, less fuss. Venison usually

 

Tri tip sometime round flat. Only when they’re at $2.40 a lb. I love to keep the fat on my jerky give it soo much flavor

I will have to try the dehydrator style.
