Tacoma suddenly having issues starting, but will start eventually.

Yeah, I had just already went and started trying to fix the truck before that was posted. Definitely would have saved me the money if I had seen it before buying the starter.

 

Now what quality of starter did you install? OEM or something of lesser quality? If the later do u still have the OEM starter to put back in JIC? And by the way there is an excellent shop in Baton Rouge, AGCO auto. I listen to there pod cast every week. And its live on Saturday mornings if u have any questions. Good luck.

 

I didn't get OEM. I just got whatever the parts store had so I could get my truck running. Hopefully it'll last. It has a lifetime warranty. but idk if I wanna wait on a warranty to get back on the road.

 

I keep seeing this issue cropping up, I had the same problem. Took me a hot minute to figure it out as well. I'm glad you got it sorted!
