Hey everyone- new guy here with the 1st question. ( I used the search button before posting, I'm only new to this forum, not forums in general) My new-to-me rig is a base model AC 4x4.

I got it from a Hyundia dealership, it was a trade in. Clean car fax and general inspection, my home state did the necessary safety inspection ( prior to transferring tags) and only found a few very minor things that needed to be fixed. The truck didn't come with the owners manual, so until I find a reasonably priced used on on fleabay, I'm going to have to ask a few questions.

The stock stereo has basic functions, AM/FM/BT but I can see 2 tiles in the background that don't light up or do anything when touched. One is AUX/IN and the other is USB/IN.

How exactly do you activate either one of those functions? I'd like to plug in my iPod and enjoy some music during the morning commute.

The other issue is that when I got the truck, it had Genera Grabber AT2's on it, which are pretty good tires. I've had them in the past on a old work truck. The particular tires that came with the truck were an odd size, 235-70-16 which translated to a tire that about 1.5" too small in diameter compared to a stock 245 75 16. It's something that would have bugged me, so I found a set of take offs locally that came from a 2019 Taco. The issue is: the TPMS sensors aren't recognized by the trucks computer. I had Mr. Tire, NTB, firestone and a small independent garage all try to scan the new sensors and put the ID's into the trucks control module VIA the OBD II port, but it won't work. Is there any alternative besides giving the local stealership $140 to scan /program the sensor IDs into the trucks computer?

I think that if you plug in a USB thumb drive with music files on it, the USB tile will be activated, and the unit will play music from the thumb drive. As for the iPod, I'm not sure. I don't know whether simply plugging it into the USB port would work. An alternative you have, at least with an iPod Touch, is to establish a Bluetooth connection from the iPod to the head unit.

    of course
FYI - you can go to Toyota.com and then to the owners page. If you register your VIN # you can download a PDF manual. Bingo.

You don’t even have to register to get an Owners Manual.
