Steering wheel controls should just work. My camera is in the mirror so I can't help you there but you're also in the third gen thread for this not the second gen one.

I’ve searched both the 2nd and 3rd gen post, I know that I need a canbus. But searching links on eBay, AliExpress, and different forums I’m seeing two different canbus models Cb004 and cb005 for the Tacoma. I’m trying to get feedback on what canbus model is being used.

I have - 2012 TRD Sport is there a way to get “trip computer” type data over here?

I’m trying to see if it’s possible to link the factory tpms to the head unit, would be pretty convenient. Might have to use aftermarket sensors caps they offer. I’m not sure if this unit is compatible, but idatalink should help you if so.

Their sensor caps are specific to the head unit (different frequency). I got them and they work great although worry about them getting torn off while offroading. The internal ones they offer will leave the factory low pressure light on.

I might just go that route. I didn’t want to pull the factory and have that light staring me down. Do the caps seem pretty accurate, don’t allow air to release?
Seeing how you have a 2014, was your rear camera plug and play? I just ordered my unit, waiting for shipping now

From what I understand from looking at the kit myself, assuming that it is compatible you can display that information. I’m going to look more into the maestro rr2 or similar kits for compatibility. I would like to have it myself. What I have seen used most by searching dasaita post on here, are the obd2 modules. You plug into the obd2 port, then connects to the head unit via Bluetooth. You can get live data that way.

I can confirm. All gauges, TPMS, and trip info is available on a compatible OBDII module. I sold my module along with my PX6 head unit, but I definitely remember that the OBDII module with a Bluetooth connection was the source for the info you seek.

Caps are accurate. When purchasing (bought this from Amazon) they were very specific about wanting picture of my current head unit. They provided correct CANBUS with unit and rear view camera worked fine after playing with settings. Biggest issue I had was attempting to download apps (connection would time out) even parking truck in garage and connecting to home WI-FI. After consulation with techs they had me roll back to earlier version of software. No problem then. Will upgrade again to latest version later. Installed unit before 2 weeks before 3 week Wyoming trip. Now that I am back I am working more with all the settings to get it configured how I want it. Also downloaded Agama display and it works fine.

The new 10.0 deck has integrated wireless CarPlay so I’ll be going that route.

They have a kit for that also. I have an Insight Edge that I use which I tend to like better as I don't have to be distracted playing with settings on the unit as I am driving.
