    Hi all,

Earlier this year, Toyota told me they had a recall and if my frame met their criteria, they would spray on this stuff for rust prevention of the frame. Well apparently my frame fit the description so they sprayed the stuff on. Before all this I would fluid film the frame myself every fall, now I’m wondering if the fluid film will still be ok with this new “rust inhibitor” on board. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance

I've heard a few people actually suggest doing this. Haven't heard any down sides yet.

All i can claim after inspecting the frame, and undercarriage on my 2020 it looked the same as my 2001 tundra did when new...having nothing for rust prevention other than the black chassis paint on the frame itself. I ended up spraying the undercarriage of the tacoma down with cosmoline. I've use fluid film in the past on the tundra, but it gets to be a pita to reapply it every year the reason for choosing cosmoline on this truck.
