Would that be overlanding, truck camping, or tent camping at that point? Have we gotten any expert clarification?

Who knows a quiet spot to kick back and look at the stars? I guess near Grandview if I had to choose. @Calamity_taco @gasparic104 @Slashaar Know anything since you're close by?

Ugh idk about Grandview tbh but if you head out towards blue springs there are lots of parks or you could go down to the lake and chill there

Doesn't have to be in, just saying close.

Was looking for a quiet spot to kick back and relax, stargaze, whatnot.

There's bound to be some spots out by the Lake, just make sure they don't get locked at dusk...

Been checking out some of the places near my area in Cameron. Stayed at bonanza conservation this past weekend and had an awesome view. No lights for miles with the exception of the fire we had. Great place to chill with hardly any people.

I'm not good at finding these spots. Got any tips?

Would have to check that out later. Looks like a nice quiet place for sure. I want to go camping again before the year is up and have a little more time to burn.

I'm not amazing at finding spots either, and for someone who basically lived in Grandview I know shitall about it really, but here's a few places I've put Google Maps and my tad bit of knowledge together for

Jerry Smith Park - In an area of Grandview with sparse housing, has a lake and trail head. It's kinda close to honeywell which puts off a ton of light, but it shouldn't be close enough to affect it too much?
Shalimar Park - Mostly baseball diamonds, but pond near it.

All the other parks are like in the middle of the city, if you're trying to look at stars ofc you're going to want to get as far away from light pollution as possible. Even a brownish sky with few stars in it is pretty with snacks though. Just bring a blanket and some pillows and set up in the truck bed.

That's the plan. I'd drive to Flint Hills or that Bonanza place mentioned earlier, but this being a 1st meet up, I didn't want to go too far. Not sure how far they are willing to drive.
