Had mine for a year and still haven’t really used it... need to fill it up before trips but then I cannot find all the parts when I need them.

Yeah, I have both. It'll also be nice after hiking/running on muddy trails, which is all of them right now.

Yeah they hate it when you go back to work and don't keep doing your weekly reporting. They got all over me about that a few years back. My employer had to send in a notice that I was back to work, and they informed me that even though I am back to work, I need to keep reporting each week. If for some reason I needed to go back on unemployment that same year, it would be a even bigger shit show getting it again.

The noise is probably going to keep coming around and I'm betting the factory grease has pretty much dried up. I wouldn't say it's going to fail tomorrow but eventually you'll start to feel some slop or hear other noises. More than likely a needle bearing between the reunion and the cap has become out of round/flat on one side and not rolling as it should. Eventually there won't be more than a handful left as the rest will start to do the same thing and grind themselves into dust.

Not sure why but I've read that some trucks rolled off the factory line with ujoints that had grease fittings and others didn't. I can't recall if it was something to do with the plant of manufacturer or just what spicer had available to keep toyotas production online. Does your front drive shaft have grease fittings?

Front does but the other doesn’t suprisingly, I guess I’ll just grease them up every 3000 miles ish and inspect them and if it becomes a problem then replace all of them with aftermarket ones that have zerks

I will say that swapping them out after the drivelines out isn’t too bad ideally a vice, socket and hammer but can make due with just the latter two. If you do the front it can be a PIA though. Just make sure you mark the position of the driveline on the driveline itself and the yolk. As long as no needles fall in the caps when installing the new ujoints it’s not too bad. I think I got all the spicer u joints off Amazon for a reasonable price. So if you had a day and all of the other stuff above you can just replace them too. Though only if it’s necessary obviously.

Got the TC Cam Tabs done, new LCAs and new hub assemblies installed towards the end of the week. After an alignment Thursday and getting the truck back on the road I can safely say the drivers side wheel bearing was my issue, no more noise at 55-60mph now. I should actually be good to go for snow wheeling this year if we actually get any.

Love my waterport. Used it to shower on my recent two week trip. Use it to wash dishes, spray off the dogs etc. Wish there was a way to hear the water.

Does anyone know of discounts for SAR gear or some recommendations?

I have a friend whose kids (14 and 16) are starting SAR training in Kittitas County and I was hoping to find some gear deals to help build out there packs.

@Benson X has been involved in SAR. So was Mike from PDX area, but I don't recall his handle on here.

I'll text a friend of the family who is involved with SAR with her dog in Spokane area.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Cascade Designs (MSR, Thermarest, Platypus etc.) has a great program for SAR and other agencies that offers a deep discount.

Definitely forward the info. to your friend:

I made a nozzle holder for the waterport with some scrap PVC. To bad I didn't have any ABS pipe scraps to match better.

Do they come with the little coiled hose now? Mine came with basically a washing machine hose.

Yeah, that's the hose and nozzle it came with. There are plastic quick connectors on both ends.
