You said it was illegal to make or drink. It's not. Of course, you might argue if it was brewed in a legal distillery, it's not real moonshine. But I would come back and say "moonshine" is like any other spirit, it's all in how you make it

I dann near rolled going somewhere north of 90 mph in the desert just the other week.

I absolutely love driving stupid fast... but by the time you're sideways with two wheels in the air, it's too late to start praying. But somehow God's hand was still quick enough to point me back on the road.

Stay safe out there folks, and slow down!

This happened to us a few months ago on West Wing Road... some fishtailing two wheeled action with me yelling "COUNTER STEER" about 100 times all with in 3 seconds. That is as close as it gets...

    Yes..

I was calling out turns and hazards as they were approaching, but I miss called this turn because I was paying more attention to something else. This one was all on me..

I think you take the cake for the number of times driving way too fast, almost killing yourself, and then keep doing it. It took me almost getting killed 3 times and a truck falling apart at 90k miles to learn to slow down.

Holy hell, at least my tires stayed on!

They at least had 18 psi in them... which is still maybe on the low side for pushing into triple digit speeds across the sand washes of pinto basin.

I wasnt even in a hurry, but driving suicidially fast is just so god damn much fun. Of course the euphoria ceased immediately upon entering this would-be fatal rollover sequence. Luckily I was able to regain control, only inches before hitting the edge of the wash in an unintentional and wildly uncontrolled slide.

The seat covers also performed quite admirably, but have since been replaced for unrelated reasons.

Exactly, I am making a traditionalist argument. If it was brewed in a legal distillery, it's not real moonshine. Yours is based on marketing. Like "Stolen Whiskey". It's not stolen, it's marketing.

    ETA: hopefully clarity.

Just got back from a few days in DV. Did lippincott pass (going up) and was very passable if not a little butt puckery in spots. Camped at saline hot springs (empty tubs) and the temps were perfect and crowds minimal. We were planning to volunteer up at cerro gordo one day with their rebuilding effort but last minute they had to close it since they were getting some heavy machinery up there. About 7 or 8 years ago we came down the east side from cerro gordo into saline valley. There were some tight spots with shrubs but nothing too crazy. 4A048343-444B-4C43-9C7F-CFC2470411C9.jpgED48F4FB-6D8A-4BB9-9FCC-42880B7F4157.jpg 5E0BA786-0387-4E3C-8B18-A358377C6752.jpg

Actually I think it is legal to distill "cooking gas" up to 1 gallon at a time.

Is that a car in the last pic? Looks smokey. How many people were at the springs?
