@Bolshki Truck looks great man! Are the wheels gunmetal? What lift and any feedback on it would be appreciated.

I actually removed the non-existent seats from the rear as well. More room for activities now. If it's just you and your significant other it is perfectly acceptable. The 2nd gen regular cab (which I owned) was seriously lacking in space. Just having some room for a backpack, camera bag, and now my fridge behind my seat is a game changer.

The dealership wouldn't locate an AC for me and tried to force the DCSB on me. I wound up buying it through my companies payroll incentive program and was able to order it to spec within reason/package availability... and it came through the dealership that wouldn't transfer one in for me. I won.

Love the set up! I really wish I had gone the AC route to begin with.

Nah the wheels are matte dark bronze, its hard to tell in this picture. The lift is the eibach pro truck kit and a wheelers offroad add a leaf pack. Have only had it installed for about a week now but I've got no complaints.

First spring perch? How much lift did this give you on an AC? Thanks!

    'First' meaning the lowest

Thank you!! What did the Dobinson lift give you for a lift? 2"? I'm trying to do a lift at the moment but trying to stay away from UCAs.

I went with the 314 coils, which yields 2" with around 100lbs up front, and the standard shock that they offer.

So I took my AC for its first long trip the Black Hills. I drove a few short BLM trails, which were narrow, and in one case I had to back up. I'm use to driving a Jeep TJ off-road, which is a lot easier to back up and turn around. (lol)

Here I am at the famous I-80 Truck Stop in Iowa. Interesting enough, about six weeks ago I did this same trip with my wife's 4Runner, and the 4Runner actually had better MPG on I-90 across South Dakota (Tacoma: 15.0 mpg vs. 4Runner 17.5 mpg). The Tacoma wanted to mostly drive in 4th gear with a lot of hills at 80+ mph. I was thinking of going up a tire size, however I'm going to be making this drive 2 or 3 times a year, so I think I'd better stay with the stock tire size?

So, I've had the truck for two months and have added a Retrax cover, bed mat, OEM Bed lights & dash switch, LED replacement lights in the cab, glove box and center console organizers, and a 600 gr black stainless steel shift knob. I've less than 500 miles on the truck, but the ADM is next on my list of to-do's when I get the chance.

I still drive my 2004 Tacoma and like it a lot, but this Tacoma is SO sweet!

2020 4x4 SR AC 2.7 liter - Bare Bones Base Model
When I was looking for a new rig, I kinda wondered if Toyota was really thinking everything through.
My criteria was, I wanted the AC, as I'm not hauling people around... 99% of the time it's just me and I just wanted a little room in the back to throw stuff in when needed ... HAD to have a 6' bed ... HAD to be 4x4...Wanted the 2.7 as I'm more interested in MPG ... And wanted a MT, but they no longer make them... So, I got 4 out of 5 and had to buy a base model, but I'm not complaining. But also had to order it and wait 3 months to get it.
Well, I know Toyota has a hard time keeping up with orders/buyers, but I think they're getting a little away from what others may want .. And leaning more towards 'This is what we offer ... Take it or leave it' .. And especially with insane prices for new rigs these days .. I'm sure there's more than a few that can afford a $30K rig ... But $55K with super-duper everything? .. That could chase a lot of buyers away.

So I've read some about the 4.88 gears.... You're saying that they'd keep my Tacoma in 5th or even 6th gear longer then how it kept shifting into 4th going 80+ mph? Even going 70 mph, it was mostly running in 5th gear (19 mpg). I rarely see 6th gear. Thanks...
