I have a 2.7L L4 SR5 Double Cab 4x2, I am looking at adding a winch, dual batter, snorkel kit, changing the lights to LED, trying to decide either to change the bumpers out on with a winch mount in the front or bull bar with winch mount as well as adding a snorkel kit. In the bed of the truck it looks like there is two spots for bed lights. I'm looking for advice and suggestions it will be a slow process for me doing the upgrades. I appreciate any suggestions and advice.

I have a new 2020 SR 2.7 AC 4x4 ... I was considering adding either a bull bar or a grille guard, as there is a LOT of deer where I live. (All suicidal deer...) I spent hours pouring over dozens of different brands, styles, options. My one 'must' was it had to be bolt-on. I wasn't gonna start slicing n' dicing a new truck. The one thing I constantly ran across was in the descriptions with the asterisk
(* May interfere with front sensor)
In other words the active cruise control and automatic braking 'may' not work. (Both of which, now that I have them, absolutely love) .. So I wasn't about to spend anywhere from $2-3-400 and spending a whole day assembly, just to find out these two features don't work anymore. I'm guessing that something in front with a winch, would probably make the situation even more iffy...
Unless someone else knows different .. Who has done that and can recommend certain proven products ... I'm holding off on doing anything. Which i grit my teeth, because I'd really really like to make my rig a bit more 'deer-proof' .. ;)

    My two cents:
Bull bars look nice but they hang too low and don’t really offer any protection. I too want to add a snorkel to my 4x2 but I’m not willing to cut a hole so it’s a pass for now and I’m not sure if the 2.7 and 3.5 liter engines use the same snorkel.

Why a snorkel? Not sure a 2wd should be chugging anywhere that deep :)
Try to keep weight in mind with a 2.7 as well, and don't be afraid to trim a little plastic up front, have you looked at any of the slimline bumpers?

I agree with the bull bar. I want something that covers the whole grille... Not something that comes up to just the bottom of it. But I don't want all the head light stuff that comes with a grille-guard. (Aside from all the bull-bars seem to be made from 3" tubing and the grille guards with 2" tubing) ... I've seen some older .. As in 10-15 year-old Tacos with a (For lack of better term) Bull bar that covers the whole grille.. Up to the front edge of the hood.. But none of the headlight stuff. And it was 3" tubing. Apparently they don't make that style anymore, as I've spent hours on the net looking.
Even then, all the (* May interfere with front sensors) .. I mean c'mon ... They either do or don't. They haven't tested these?
My main thoughts are ... If I were to hit a deer and it busted up a headlight/fender ... I should still be able to make it home. A deer coming through the grille/radiator? Not so much.;)

I just did the RX350 retrofit on my 2020 SR5. Nothing like a good set of headlights.

I have seen a few that peeked my interest. In the area I live in sometimes the flooding is pretty bad, the last storm that came through water was up to the bottom of the door.

The snorkel is not for water. It's for desert running and dust.
