I am stunned with this squeak issue I’m having. Though that maybe my wheel bearing is going bad.

Brakes are good, excuse the grease on my uniball, it’s on it’s way out and I packed some grease in thinking it might be it.

The noise goes away with brakes applied, and does not present itself in reverse.

Sound picks up in volume and frequency as I speed up and sounds like a metal to metal tapping.

It seems the noise is happening once per revolution of the tire.
In the video, if you watch the valve stem, it looks to be around 1 o’clock area.
Have you jack the front end up and spun the tire?

How are the CV Axles and joints looking?

I just noticed that too. I cannot replicate the sound with the front end off the ground. It only happens when driving.

CV is in good condition, no play. I am stunned.

When the front end is off the ground, the cv is at a different angle then when on the ground.
Some guys have jacked the truck up under the control arm to get it to “normal” driving conditions.
I have never done this, yet. So I’m not sure where the best spot is to place the jack.
I’d have to crawl under there and take a look.

If you have a floor jack, jack the truck under the lower control arm just enough to get the wheel off the ground and spin the tire.
Also have someone apply light brake (enough to still be able to spin the tire) and see if the noise is there/goes away.

I will have to give that a try. That's how I discovered that my upper TC uniball was shot.

    Will do.
