    Hello everyone,

this metal piece fell off from the passenger side of the truck. It was underneath the truck and I see another smaller metal sheet still bolted.

I was wondering what this was.

    thank you!

Heat shield that goes between the exhaust and the cab. Not absolutely necessary but keep heat out of the passenger compartment so it makes your truck that much more comfortable.

Thank you! I don’t have A/C anyway and I live in FL so I’m used to it anyway is this a cause for concern or am I okay?

It’s not a huge cause for concern. It’ll take just a few minutes of laying on your back to secure back in place so the amount of work vs a creature comfort is up to you.

It really boils down to if you’re one of those guys that will replace a side mirror if it breaks off, duct tape it back in place or just say screw it and Get better at checking your blind spot when you change lanes.

Pull the bolts out, add fender washers, and bolt it back up.

Both of mine fell off. I took the bolts out and used washers larger than the holes in the shield. Not going anywhere.
