Yeah man! It goes right over the stock one. It's basically a cap sort of speak. It has 3M adhesive on the back, to hold better.

So it wasn't what I did to my Tacoma, exactly. But rather what I did to my camper top.

I can either use the camper top all the time and park in the garage, or have the top off, sitting on the garage floor, and park in the driveway. Dislike that option.

So I made a hanger for it. I used two 2x4s (with blocks screwed on where the top would sit on the sides of the bed, to accommodate the "lip" on the camper top), eye bolts with 1" washers, cam buckle straps, and a package of brackets meant to hang a garage door on the ceiling. Total cost was about $60.

Right now it's hanging an inch or so off the floor just to double check that bolts are stable before I hoist it to the ceiling. It does require me to back into the garage to park, but that's way better than having to scrape the windows this winter. :)

    I like your style. Awesome.

I've used a lot of different flux core welders over the decades, max heat and as big of puddle as you can keep control of, you can build anything with a buzz box and it'll be ultra strong (and ugly as far as weld porn goes). Skyscrapers are built with flux core.

    What color?
    Are you in a rush?
I can get it done for less if you're not in a hurry, from a major San Diego County powdercoat business... PM me

I ran the stock wheels with ko’s for 7+ years. Swithed to methods a couple years ago. Should’ve done it way sooner. I was running wheel spacers to clear something. If I remember right the Camburg uca’s I was running had tire rub without the spacers. Got the back spacing right on the methods and ditched the spacers.

Had my transmission drain and filled from a good transmission shop here. Next thing to fix is my bearing noise I have. Cannot find out which wheel bearing is going bad. Have 169K miles on the original trans fluid. No issues with the fluid.

I’m at 130k and did mine about 10k ago. Went to do f/r brakes and new lines and both fronts were almost roasted so I did those too. I got all the info here.

Is there anywhere to get those cans for a decent price? Everywhere I've found them online seem really expensive for a small can.. but maybe it's just sticker shock.
