"No turn on red" means no turn on red. You cannot even turn right on red.

I'd also like to add: the people who think "zipper merge" means "last second merge."

But why? DRLs are a thing and even mandated in some places. Not to mention they have been proven to reduce crashes, which is why some places mandate them.

How about the people that are driving slow and then speed up when you go to pass them? Or the ones that get mad that you passed them and start tailgating you?

I got hit and run by a crack head. She looked like a meth head, no joke. I think she was high. She rear ended my service truck as I was making a turn. Rear service truck has steel rear bumper, her Camry smack me but I didn't realize I got hit. She took off like a bat out of hell. Pieces of her head light was everywhere. I had zero damage other then paint scruff, but some rattle can took care of it.

I’m fine with DRLs, but actually using headlights (low beams) during the day is kinda weird because it just shortens the bulbs lifespan

Reverse when looking on the back-up camera only.

Always a dipstick backing up staring at the camera. No awareness of anything unless directly behind the vehicle.

My wife does this.....:annoyed:. I always ask, "Whats coming from the side? Please, turn around and look."

I didn't go through all 62 pages of this thread but one peeve for me is people following too closely or tailgating for no reason. Sometimes it looks like vehicles are literally tied to the bumper of the car in front of them. Drives me nuts. When I can't see their headlights or the hood of a car in my rear view mirror it drives me mad! Left lane doing 15-20 over the limit or even in the right lane doesn't matter, it's a bad habit. It's a real problem around here and we get tons of snow and ice in the winter, doesn't phase people either...

Some DRLs use the low beams. My old truck did that, for example. Running them constantly doesn't shorten it as much as the act of turning them on/off. Either way, it is a wear item on the vehicle.

Do you guys feel like your stock headlights are to bright? I know this seems odd. It does to me at least. I have an 08. My housings were getting pretty hazy so I cleaned them and since then people flash me semi regularly even though it's just my low beams. They dont seem super bright to me when I'm driving. My girlfriend says when I'm behind her they seem to bright to her. Its 10 plus year old simple Toyota technology.

I think it’s a pain when they wait to speed up once your past them. Then it’s a game of do I speed up also to get away from this clown or do I just hold my speed and see if they get close then back off once they realize they sped up. Most will back off but you got some jackoffs that will try and repass you. And even worse if they try and then just sit there neck and neck. It’s the type of stuff that makes you wish self-driving cars could get here faster. The motto of most drivers is make things as painful as possible for everyone else.

I got flashed a few times right after I got my 2013. Most of that was small cars like miata type stature and going up and down hilly roads, compounded with new off the lot bulbs that hadn’t dimmed a bit yet. You can always check your headlight alignment to be sure, otherwise some people are just too sensitive to headlights.

Don’t know about your state but here making a left into either lane is legal.

People who lollygag in the left lane and then act like you’re the asshole when you pass them in the right lane. To expound on that, people who get passed in the right lane by three or four cars in a row And still don’t have the common sense to move over.

I had a lady do this to me for about 20 miles. Highway 101, two travel lanes each direction south of King City, hardly another car in sight. I'm sitting in the right lane on cruise control set at the speed limit (tons of highway patrol in the area) and a minivan comes flying up on me and proceeds to sit on my bumper for a minute or two before whipping around me and taking off. Whatever. A few minutes later and I'm catching up to her because she's talking to someone else in the van. A few car lengths from her I change lanes, pass, move back to the right. I never touched cruise control. Next thing I know, here she comes again. Dejavu. After passing her for a second time, here she comes again, but this time she just gets on my bumper and sits there, yacking. I wait for her to pass but she's apparently content to stay behind me. I can barely see her hood in the mirror. So I just started bumping the cruise control down, one mph every 15 seconds or so til I get us down to about 30mph. She's still sitting there yacking away, oblivious to what's going on. I let it sit there for a minute or so before taking CC off and accelerating back up to the speed limit. Never saw her again after that.
