Maybe, the jeep is in Victorville, so I got to figure out his plans to meet up. We can probably meet up at the Jack in the crack in Baldwin Park off the 10. Easy access off and back on the fwy. And the Jeep can catch up to us at the 215 and 10. I'll talk to him tomorrow at work. Stay tuned.

Anyone is welcome to join this caravan. I don't plan on stopping for food at Jack's or anywhere else, so plan accordingly if you decide to grab breakfast. FYI I'm fueling up at Sam's Club in San Bernardino. I would like to arrive at Chiriaco Summit at around 8:50am to top off at Chevron and use the facilities.

    Los Angeles/IE Caravan

6:15am - Jack in the Box, 14611 Dalewood St, Baldwin Park, CA 91706
    6:20am - Hit the road
7:00am - In-N-Out Burger, 1065 Harriman Pl, San Bernardino, CA 92408(Costco and Sam's club both have gas stations here, both at $2.75/gal)
    7:10am - Hit the road
    8:50am - Chiriaco Summit(Chevron $3.26/gal)

Kind of a dumb question, but I am fairly new to this stuff, will I have to air down?

No, but it's highly recommended. Why are you concerned about airing down?

I have never done it so that’s the only reason I was concerned about it

I'm airing down to 15 psi. Hitting washboards at 34 psi makes the whole truck shake. Airing down smoothes it out a bit. It also helps with traction and me being 2wd I need all the help I can get. If you don't have an air compressor, I can air you back up with mine. I'm sure others don't mind helping out too.

How is you having a plug kit going to help him if you aren’t going to be there?

I have a plug kit and a compressor too. I'm sure there will be many multiples of both in the group.

@Dmedina2322 , @Silverlogic is correct in that you don't have to air down on this trail, but it is recommended to smooth out the ride to make it a bit more comfortable. I don't think airing down to 15 PSI will be needed, but 20-25 PSI should be more than adequate for the 98% of the trail. The only real challenge, if at all, is a steep hill that you'll need some momentum and courage to hit the gas and you'll be fully aware of where this section is ( can't miss it ). If you have issues getting up the hill, there are plenty of 4x4s that can help pull you up. This isn't a rocky trail, so punctured tires would not be expected, but there will be plug kits in the group, you should have your spare, and I don't recall any washboard sections that we travel over. There are however, some woops that you'll need to keep your speed down or you'll get airborne, but @Silverlogic will be setting the pace and knows where all of these sections are. Additionally with airing down, there will be many members there that will be more than willing to assist with that and airing back up when we're done.

If you have more questions, please let us know.
