Lifted 1st gens let's see em

My 32's just got a little smaller it seams.

 

Here's my rig. It is lifted approx. 2" in front and 1.5" in the rear. Running LT255/85/R16 size tires (Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx).

 

Matrix/Corolla rear studs in the front hubs should be the first mod for anyone that drives a 1st Gen 4wd.

 

96 4x4 2inch lift roughly on 285s

 

Full OME kit 2”-3” idk. SPC upper control arms. On 285/70/17 Toyo ATs. Fuel Vector rims. American flag adds 10 horses

You have accomplished exactly where I’d like to go with my build. Any words of wisdom after looking at my plans?

 

The only thing I don’t see on your list and recommend is installing a ECGS needle bearing, and UCAs. I went without both of those for 2 years and wish I’d have done it when I installed my lift.

I want to upgrade my suspension but currently I’m running 5100s with 3” toytec coils in front, then 1.5” AAL in the rear with 5100s.

 

Here is mine. 3" lift with 285s. My son just turned 16 last week and I gave it to him on his birthday.

 

That's a nice set up you will love it. I have the exact same except double cab with 285/75R16 4 inch backspacing (i think) on pro comp 7069 wheels and it got me here:

 

You can run most 15” wheels in that year model unless you put on some Tundra rotors. Costs a lot less, too.

 

What kind of visors are those

 

OME rear springs w/ bilstein 5100 rear shocks
Icon 2.5” coils.
33” maxxis m/t on 15x10.5 Mickey Thompson’s
Sits pretty level. 0 rub and drives great

Ritchie, when I suggested the 1/2” spacer with Matrix studs to the installer, He responded "1/2 on a wheel spacer? I'm no geometry major but anytime you push it further out you lose clearance. I need more clarification on what's being suggested."

Can you or anyone else pipe in and help me clarify with the installer?
