    Hello,

Is the white lettering on the Tacoma turn signal lever supposed to be illuminated? I am new to Tacomas, and noticed for the first time, at night, that mine are not. It made it difficult to see to change my headlight choice in the dark. (I wanted to turn off my headlights so that I wasn't blinding the guy in front of me while we both waited for our Chic-Fil-A orders). My Tacoma is a 2020 TRD Sport Access Cab with the Premium Sport Package, Technology Package, and LED lights.

Thanks for any "illumination" you can provide.

You’ll get used to it all the way down is off first click up auto second drls and third headlight fogs are off down and on up. Definitely wouldn’t be a bad idea if they did light up.

Ahhh the real problems of the world, non-illuminated headlight stalks making it difficult to pick up our spicy chicken sandwiches.

The waffle fries are pretty tasty.
and a tray of strips makes a good appetizer, and can hold you over between them tasty samiches.

and it has to be a tray.

damnit now i need chik fil a

Oh yeah, the waffle fries are a given. Gotta get the spicy chicken deluxe with the fries and mac & cheese for the little one with some Chik-fil-a sauce and honey mustard on the side.

I don't think I've ever seen a vehicle with illuminated stalks on the steering column. Not a terrible idea, but a little "extra" if you ask me. Then again, so was heated seats at one point.

Audi has illuminated stalk controls. Even my cruise control lever illuminates, it's a really nice aesthetic look more than needed functionally.
Now back to the topic of this thread...Chick-fil-a

I wish they made some sort of spicy chicken wrap.

Guessing OP does not have a need for a truck and came from a luxury brand.

I don't know, I'm sure you can fit a lot more spicy chicken sandwiches in the bed of the Tacoma than the trunk of a 3 series. That right there justifies the need for a truck.

I don't know about all trucks, but mine has an indicator light on the instrument panel for both the headlights and fog lamps to let you know when they're on. Yours doesn't?

The dashboard gives you a good clue as to what position you are in.

Bright ass radio in daytime mode = lights are off or in DRL mode.
Radio is in dark mode but no light indicators on dash = parking lights.
Green shallow bowl that spilled the spaghetti = fog lights are on.
green-your truck just got a bright idea = headlights are on
Blue speeding bullet = your brights are on.
Blue full-auto speeding bullet = your truck is deciding when to blind other drivers.

I think you guys are making too much out of this. It doesn't really take looking at indicator lights on the dash to see if your headlights are on...well at night.

    How about those Chik-fil-a shakes!

Thanks for all the replies. I had just done my brake controller installation, and was paranoid that I had bumped or jostled some connector, and done something to the electrical system. My Tacoma replaced my 22 year old, 217,000 mile T100 that had been ravaged by the Wisconsin winters and road salt. I didn't expect the Chic-Fil-A tangent, but it was funny. I did eventually get my headlights back on, after my Market Salad and 6-piece nuggets arrived.
