So this morning I jump in my 2014 Tacoma and no reverse no forward in any gear. E-Brake is snapped back in place as usual. Tried the E-Break forward and back several times. No luck. Anyone ever had this problem? Had new tires put on last week. (KO2s) Any ideas folks?

    Does the engine rev up?
Or does if feel like the brakes are holding it in place?

Revs right up. Feels like the passenger front tire is locked. It seems to dip when I try forward and reverse. (manual transmission)

If you have a Jack try getting the truck off the ground and see if each tire will spin by hand.

Sounds like a seized caliper. You could try tapping it with a hammer to see if the piston retracts but might be time for front brakes including new calipers or at least rebuilding them.

Given your location, I would say seized brake calipers due to rust would be high on my list of causes.

If it does end up being a seized caliper I’d probably go ahead and replace the rubber brake hose too as a preventative measure since you’ll already have one end of it off and have to bleed the braking system

This. I also had to stop using my parking brake because the bell cranks wouldn't return. Took a tap with something to get them in the released position.

I have only ever had it happen to me once. Backed the truck into the water to launch some stand ups out of the bed of the truck, truck was DEEP, water just touching the bottom of the frame rails under the doors, needless to say the drums were DUNKED.

I parked the truck to go on a 3 day houseboat trip n went, hmm do i set my parking brake the drums are def wet eh yaaaaaa ill be fine. Sure nuf got back a few days later and couldnt move as the shoes had frozen to the drums. Needed 4low and some rocking back n forth for it to pop!

Never had an issue in the snow and rain in the mtns tho.

As crazy as this sounds, my 2015 DCSB 4x4 did the SAME thing. I ended up removing the passenger rear brake drum, freed up the brake shoes with a hammer, and drove it home. Before i got it home, my brake pedal was going to the floor and barely slowing down the truck (later i found out that this was due to the brake fluid getting extremely hot after driving with the drum brake stuck all the way home). when i got home, i discovered that the only way to free up that passenger side rear brake drum, was to disconnect the parking brake cable from the passenger rear brake assembly. Come to find out, the parking brake cable was pinched. I have no idea how that happened. I confirmed that it was pinched by trying to move the cable in and out of the "cable sleeve thing" once i completely removed it from the truck. I went to the dealer and ordered a new parking brake cable and installed the new on on my truck. Problem solved. I still have the seized cable to show people. Still have no clue how that happened.

It's still fairly warm here so it's not from cold weather. Jacked up the truck today and all wheels are stuck to the point of about 1/4 turn. Thinking the e-brake is stuck somehow. Works inside ok but that doesn't free up the wheels. Your thoughts?

If all the wheels are stuck including the front, I don’t see how it could be the E-brake.
It only operates off the rear wheels.

If both Rear and Front wheels are “stuck”, I am going to say it’s probably NOT the E-brake.
